PATARA PATARA PATARA, I made this yesterday! My very first time making bread...Bread for me has been one of those homestead things I have been fearful of. It sounds silly, but we have been working on so many other things over the years. For months now, I have been warning my husband, I am making bread this weeekend. We are well supplied on flour and wheat etc from Azure. Finally!!! We normally go to lunch with my dad after church on Sunday. Because I took Saturday off, the 3 of us went to lunch on Saturday. So, Sunday, after church, I told my hubby & my dad, You guys can go to lunch, I am going home and making bread. WHOA.... It turned out AWESOME!!!! Thank You So Much.... I will dive deeper on bread making now that I have an easy recipe.

I’ve made a similar recipe before. Delicious and so easy. You can also add a cup of raisins, Tbsp of cinnamon when mixing, then a bit of brown sugar when forming the loaf, and you have rustic cinnamon raisin bread.

Thank you! I was going to ask that question. It always helps to read the comments 😊
I really want to smear butter on it and eat the whole thing 😆
I've made 4 loaves in 5 days. The first 3 were gone within a few hours. The last one I added 1 tablespoon of flax seeds to the dry mix, and there is a sliver left after 24 hours. (Seeds are scary to teenagers, I guess). So happy with this bread!
Patara you have inspired me with how baking from scratch for my family doesn't have to be complicated or difficult and I really appreciate it! Looking forward to trying this soon!

Patara...girl u did it again....inspired us to do new things to increase our SKILLS!!! U R AMAZING👌👍🙏
i am baking a large loaf every week for 10 months now. Hearty rustic bread! The whole family loves it!
Hi Patera, if you use wholemeal flour, it can be a little on the heavy side, for a 3 cup loaf I would tend to use 2 cups wholemeal with 1 cup white flour, it just lightens the loaf a little😋

Thank you, Ms. Sharon!
I bet that bread smells sooooo good.
110 degree water is what we used for pizza to make yeast rise. On my hand it was right before burning you. Hot but not hurting.
I love this recipe! It’s so easy to do every other day. We stopped buying store bought bread. Thank!
I make that bread a lot. We call it crusty bread. It reminds me of French bread. Love it!
Hi Patera, I wanted to thank you for sharing this recipe. My friend Kathy and I spent the day together doing mylar repackaging and we decided to make this bread. We had so much fun and this bread was the bomb girl. She and I have been watching you for about 4 months now. I love your directness and your humor. Please give Ginger and Fritz a kiss from me. Thanks for being you.
I make this. My family loves it! My family loves all my homemade breads.
I’m a novice bread maker, so thank you so much for sharing this easy recipe with us! Can’t wait to bake my first loaf! 🍞 💕
I like to put a table spoon of rosemary in my bread , made a loaf Saturday
I once simultaneously burned, yet did not pop, stovetop popcorn. The rest of my kitchen provenance is similar. But I've made two of these loaves in the past two days and they're delicious! My gf also now thinks I'm an expert baker, which could be a problem in the future...
This is how I do my bread, just put it in my kitchen aide mixer then let it rise covered up over night and cook it in the morning b4 I run to work. I love this bread and gift it to friends .
I love Patara's channel. I'm a long term sub. I definitely say use what you have but I also want to share with anyone who will care how I found out about how unhealthy store bought flour is! Just recently started searching for fresh milled flour. Using true whole grain, fresh milled flour is so much more nutritious. I want to get a mill eventually, but for now I have found Virginia Heritage Mills in Nickelsville VA for buying fresh stone ground flours.
You Rock, Patera! Made this bread tonight & it was a huge hit! Thank you so much!
Dear Patara, I LOVE your channel and love your genuine personality. You say it the way it is and that is so refreshing, especially in these times of wokiszm.

Looks great! Will try! Thank you.
Think about it..... easy, fast, taste, who doesn't want that??? God bless all of you.....
Absolutely, thank you 🤠
I have bought a loaf from Kroger like this that is a rosemary olive oil loaf...it is so delicious and I'll bet that I could add a little olive oil and some rosemary to this recipe and it would be darn near the same. It is my favorite bread to have with soup, but getting too expensive to buy given how small the loaf has gotten.

It's FUN! I am making one now with 1 cup WW & 2 Cups Bread flour with dried Rosemary!
Just put my dough ball in the Dutch oven IN the oven! Woohoo! Thanks for making it easy to do stuff and follow along. I feel like less of a loser now. Makin bread and stuff 😆🤞
Started making this bread during lockdown since it was easier than the sourdough starter that my friends were making. Love it!
My daughter gave me a very similar recipe years ago. I make it all the time for my husband who loves it! I sometimes add my dehydrated garlic flakes or dried onion. Sometimes rosemary. Very easy to do and yummy!😘❤🙏🏻✨
Can’t wait to try this bread recipe. I’m going back and writing down more of your recipes and making a “Patara Cookbook”. You’ll be famous in our house😂 Thank you for showing us easy recipes to enjoy!
That light touch with your hands is key. You don’t want to pummel the dough.
Love love love your beautiful measuring cup. ❤ I’m about to try your recipe thank you from Connecticut.
Just gotta say..I love you so much dear lady.❤..carry on
You could be on the cooking chanels.. all your stuff comes out great... have a great weekend... hugs to the men.
Thanks for providing EASY bread recipes… from cornbread, biscuits, scones and loaf bread!❤.
Patara your bread 🍞 looks so delicious. You are such a great teacher of many skills. Thank you so much for all of your dedication. You are greatly appreciated 👍❤️.🙂
Can’t wait to try it. Looks amazing. So happy I found your channel
Thank you Patera!!!!!!
You always have the best heartfelt music in your videos. Not one video has had an off song. It always sets tge mood of interest and wanting to learn. Idk how you pick them so well but you do! Thank you
Beautiful easy bread. Thank you
Im following your recipe as I watch…stop, start all the way thru the video. Thank you! I’ll come back and let you know how it works out for me. I keep practicing making bread, sometimes it comes out great, others, not so great.
Love that recipe, I just made it last night and it's wonderful.
Looks delicious! I've started adding some "Everything Bagel" seasoning to the bread recipe I use ("90-minute Man Bread") and it's great.
Waking up to a heavy snowstorm this morning I decided it was a good day to bake. I made just a plain white bread loaf and it came out perfect the first time. Can't wait to try other versions. Thank you, Thank you
Made this tonight!!!! So delicious and easy! Thank you
Love homemade bread
I made this. It is very good even though I had a bunch of challenges with the dough. I think my house was too cold. I never made bread in a dutch oven, it was hard on the bottom...couldn't cut through the crust but we ate everything above it. I'm just being challenged with bread making lately. I've tried a couple different recipes. Now that the outdoor temperatures are warming and we had our oven temperature checked, I'd like to try it again. Thank you for sharing this.
Bring on the butter!! Yum🎉
wheaten bread is a staple here in Ireland
Ooohhhh!!!! Oh my!!! Yummy 😋
I’m a little late to the party on making this but Easter seemed to be a good time to try it on my family. I blended 1 part bread flour and 2 parts wheat flour. Then I added 2Tbsp everything bagel seasoning. Paired it with grilled Alaskan salmon and roasted asparagus. OMG YUMMY is an understatement!!! Thanks for sharing this I can’t wait to try it with a rye flour. 😘
That may be the prettiest loaf I've seen! It sure would be good with rosemary.
Thanks for simplifying this, been a family cook for over 30 years, now I'm going to jump into bread making, however my oldest son is quite the baker♥️
You are just a treasure trove of information ❤️❤️❤️
👍🏻👍🏻 i need a reason to get another (smaller) dutch oven. Got the biscuit griddle you use... now 5qt is on my shirt list of items needed.
Usually when a video says easy...it never really is. Im excited to try this one....really does look easy and delicious :)
Made your bread today and it was a big hit thank you.
Great recipe, thank you, Patara! What is that music? It's beautiful!
Thanks for making me hungry!!! LOL❤
Love these simple baking recipes. And I'm amazed that you only needed 1/4 t yeast for that!🤯 I also use SAF instant yeast. It's the best! But I keep mine in the freezer, and it seems to work just fine.

I made 3 loaves for Easter. 2 of them to give away.
I make something similar to this and let it sit for 12 to 16 hours in the Microwave. Then bake it the next day. Works like a charm...no kneading!
WOW! It has been absolutely years since I have made bread from scratch (the old fashioned method). For once, I have all of the ingredients required to make the bread recipe that you shared with us. It looks so yummy. Thank you.
I love the beautiful Irish music. The bread 🍞 looks delicious! ❤
Thank you Patara for being so flexible with your videos. I'll need a different pot with cover that can handle the oven. Thank you! I have the confidence to bake bread now. oxoxo

The Dutch oven is my favorite to use for baking bread but I’ve made it many times using a cast iron skillet and below it (in the oven) I put a bread pan with ice or water. It steams it that way too. Honestly, I don’t see a difference in the final outcome. So, you don’t have to miss out till you get that Dutch oven. That would be a shame, lol!
Been baking for months, following your advice in acquiring skills, you wonderful, dear Patara. I use a differnt recipe but it is great nonetheless, let it ferment for 24 hours. It's gettin' better every time and my family loves it. Bless you for sharing and may God bless you, you wonderful human being! Thanks for everything you're doing ❤
Oh sweet mother of Pearl 😍 THAT is one GORGEOUS round 🙌🏼!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💕
Thank you for the step by step. This is my first time EVER making bread. I love it!!!

She looks beautiful ❤️ wish that I had a slice with some melted butter and a touch of jam to go with my black cup of coffee ☕ this morning 😘.
Thank you Patera .You explain it so well. I'm going to try this ❤❤❤
I have tried numerous times to make bread but can NEVER get it to rise, no matter how "foolproof" the recipe claims to be. I always end up with a dense paperweight. You've inspired me to try again!
Trying this out tonight--one loaf for our dinner and one loaf for a friend (along with soup) whose family is all ill with the dreaded stomach bug. Can't wait to try it!

Nice work! Can't wait to try it!
I can almost smell that wonderful bread. Yummy recipes. Love your background music. 🥰
I've been making the recipe for years using the cold water and mixing the night before and baking in the morning. exact same way in a hot oven, in dutch oven. (Original recipe from Jim Leahy, Sullivan Street Bakery). Seems to digest better. But I never knew you could use warm water and mix and bake the same day. See? Always learning here!
Looks delicious and so simple
Yum!!! Get the butter!!!
I read that a mom is looking for her son, Seamus Gray. Prayers requested. Missing Navy serviceman Seamus Gray, 21, last seen along Waukegan, Illinois, waterfront in early hours of March 18
Wrote this one down, excited to try this! Love my cast iron!
I will try it.. was raised on big fluffy biscuits my mom made.. 🤗❣️
