Beautiful! Couching around the design to really bring it out is something I'm going to have to try on one of my more ambitious/extravagant project. It looks like it takes a lot of patience and time, so probably best for the long daylight hours of summer, though!

+naomi glory wilson It's a tambour embroidery table, you can find them on some specialty online sewing stores, but very often people simply make them themselves, as they're very simple to construct :)

This is interesting (read utterly hilarious) the the pinnacle of the British textile industry is not even half as good as Japanese techniques used on Kimono worn by the average person . kzread.info/dash/bejne/f397k5WEdNSxmps.html And the Japanese pale in comparison to the Chinese . Especially when Brits pride themselves on being the apex of civilization . I am married to a Brit and spent decades in the UK i know what i'm talking about. If this is the idea of excellence in England and this is what HM Elizabeth's outfit looks like up close , this must be quite embarrassing for her to stand next to let's say , Empress Michiko . I reckon each of her court dresses require 7 months of work done by 20 of the best craftspeople in the country. But this is nothing compared to her formal court gown the Imperial Junihitoe which required over over 100 people working for 7 years to create the 12 layers . I just love when i am in the UK and meet people looking down on me or considering somehow lesser for being Japanese . What a joke, especially since the Japanese monarchy has a way longer history than the British one and is the oldest monarchy still in service. That's all . If you can't answer in japanese don't even bother.
