What I want to highlight for you today however is an area of Bordeaux that I love, where I actually worked for several years and, more importantly, that delivers some of the absolute finest French wines BUT ALSO an area where you will unmistakably find great value wines, age-worthy wines, interesting, expressive, French Cabernet-based wines. Let me take you on a little tour of the Graves sub-region of Bordeaux: it’s important AND fascinating…
Graves is a wine region located on the left bank of the Garonne river, southeast of the city of Bordeaux. It is one of the oldest and most diverse wine regions in Bordeaux, producing red, white and sweet wines of high quality and reputation. The name Graves comes from the gravelly soils that characterize the region, which are ideal for viticulture.
Graves has a long and rich history of wine production, dating back to the Middle Ages, when it was the main source of wine exported to England. The region is considered the birthplace of claret, a term that originally referred to the light red wines of Graves. The region is also home to Château Haut-Brion, one of the four original First Growths and the only one from Graves in the 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines.

Thank you very much for highly informative videos. I will start my study in wine as soon as possible. For now I'm starting in watching videos and study books, ebooks, sensoric literature. Could you give information if it is possible to book courses of study with you or a school or in a Chateau? I guess it would be a good methode to study theoric and practically
