And I'm pretty sure he's actually wrong- It feels like a more distinctly video game history reference. To me, it looks like Stan from the Monkey Island series, an infamously sleazy salesman type, known in the original game to run a used ship dealership, and similarly unscrupulous businesses in the rest of the games. SAME!!! I spent hundreds of hours on this game with my friends and I watch Markiplier since 2009 and I never saw this video!

I love the way Mark adds in his own "unspoken" dialogue for the characters. Especially the way that most of it suggests strange or questionable behavior.

I spent an entire in game year just giving coffee to harvey, the doctor. he is now my spouse. also i learned that you can romance both genders so you can be as gay as you please

it's weird how much the game has changed over 6 years, like I was so confused when I heard rain sounds but the window still had light coming through it

After having played this game for years, watching someone just start playing is really difficult.

Please continue this as a series Mark. This is just so calming to watch. Harvest Moon is one of my favourite series.

draconianscout I know. Those are poisonous what is even more weird - espeacially when not poisonous tomatoes are close relative to potato. But should use potatoes to grow other potatoes.

Dude I just recently started playing Stardew again (I just come back to it sometimes) and got REALLY into modding. It's so interesting seeing not only vanilla gameplay, but gameplay from 8 whole years ago. Screw being before 1.6, this is damn near alpha lol

heh, Farming games are the OPPOSITE of what games usually are X3 In normal games, the farther you get, the harder it is, while in farming games, the farther you get the easier it is. Doesn't anyone else agree?

Im amazed by how little he got to and that he never went any further, this game is mysterious and wonderful, even just finishing summer reveals so much, finishing one year is amazing He didn't even get to the community center, shame

The only real way to improve it is practice unfortunately; anchovies off the dock or chub in the lakes and rivers; once you can, get the fiberglass fishing rod. Once that's obsolete get the iridium rod and check what bobbers/lures will improve the fishing bar or bite rate. There's a learning curve to each fish you can hook; once you start recognizing them you get better at predicting movement to catch them.

You get better the more you practice. Trust me, I was so frustrated that I almost gave up on fishing completely. I couldn't catch ANYTHING for the first half a year. You DO get better the more you do it, I promise. Fun fact: this is also the only fishing mechanic I've ever seen where you can get OUT of practice if you stop doing it for too long. Which is funny. I stopped playing for ages (not cause I stopped enjoying it, I was just playing other games) and now I'm worse at fishing again.

God.... If you think fishing is hard do you have any idea how long it took me to get a friggin duck feather? You have to get a coop, upgrade it twice, buy a duck, wait for it to grow, and duck feathers are pretty dang rare so I have to wait 2 months once I did all that. XD
