I did not think I would learn much here, but I did learn water is free. I always assumed it still costs money from cisterns and such, so just filled up at lakes and rivers. It is great to see you can pay just a little to put a cistern where it is most convenient.

I use the cotton trailer for my skid steer transport. Kinda cool that its like real life getting on one. You have to push the front of the steer up and walk it on with the boom and tracks. I was leaving it at the store to load my trailer because its so slow.

If you go to the trailer page in the store, the very first one, Strautmann SEK 802, is convertible. You can set it for 4k, 8k, or 12k grain, but you can also set it up as a bale wagon. It costs $8000, and includes tie downs. I haven't checked this out myself, but I have been told that the reproduction rate on the sheep goes up with the number of sheep, but the sheep will not interbreed. So, for the fastest rate you should stick to one kind of sheep. On the other hand, the way you have it, each color is reproducing at the 60hr rate, so after 60 hours, you should have one new baby of each type. Like I said, I have not tried this yet. Once I get 40 more chickens I will convert my chicken farm to sheep. OH, just remembered, the way you cleaned up the feed area with the collection wagon, you can do the same thing with the first section of the conveyer belt system.

The SEK 802 is a good cheap option for starter trailer, as it does double as a flatbed and tipper. If you buy it in 12kl format, it's then free to convert to any format from flatbed, 4kl, 8kl, 12kl - you are no longer charged a service fee, even when using the store workshop. I would guess that you can get 6 wool pallets easily, and maybe up to 15 if you're really good/careful at stacking.

@@neilharbott8394 I have my own repair shop so was not paying for conversions, I did not realize that it was free even at the store. Thanks for the info. It is definitely my most used piece of equipment. When I started with horses I had no way to grow hay, so I bought bales, and this was the way I moved them. Also useful for transport contracts and even eggs. I set it up as a 4k tipper when I wanted to clear some trees that were interfering with fieldwork. The sides were low enough that I could cut the trees into hand size and throw them in, so all I needed was a chainsaw to get rid of the offending trees, made money at the same time.

Yup, the interbreeding is true - the don't interbreed, so if you want faster production stick with on type.

One thing that I noticed while doing cows is that each different type/color of cow has its own reproduction rate. I am assuming that it is the same for sheep, pigs, and chickens as well. So the more of one color that you have, the faster they will reproduce. So you should factor that into things if you want your animals to reproduce faster or slower. I.e: more of one color for faster reproduction or a more diverse collection for slower, more manageable reproduction rates. Once again, love all your vids and tutorials! Keep up the good work! -countingtrain11

That is true. With about 70 sheep, you get about two sheep a day on one variety. Though looking at his reproduction rate, he was getting one of each every two days, or four sheep. So it factors to be about the same.

Vs FS17, pallets are 1/2 size (1000l vs 2000l), and sell price is about 1/6 per 1000l. What I am unable to determine is whether production rate compares by pallet or by 1000l - it it's by pallet then production would also be 50% of FS17 rates. But they're easy to look after, and solid income over time.

Has anyone else encountered broken sheep reproduction rates? They reproduce incredibly slow for me. When it should take 20 minutes real time on 120x speed it takes an hour and a half. If I buy a bunch of sheep (60 or more) the time to next animal countdown actually goes up. Its driving me absolutely insane.

the reason they nerfed to price on wool, is because with Cotton being added, to make the work/reward proportional, keeping the wool price where it was, a bale of cotton would have to sell for a quarter of a million dollars
