Well thanks Tristan, I spent so many hours sitting on the seat of that Farmall 300 harrowing down what my grandpa plowed that I have a strong affection for that tractor. I hope you have great fun with your new tractor.

I have a 350 myself so it's almost the same as yours. Thanks for the information on how to check rear-end fluid.

Can you tell me what kind of hydraulic fluid it takes? I think its supposed to be ISO 32, but want to make sure..Thanks!

@@redgreentractorthings9043 thanks, can you tell me also where you check and add transmission fluid. mine tractor is really hard to get in gear sometimes, not sure if it may need a new clutch soon...

@@peterrobbins6691 that is in the vid as well. Drain plugs below rear axle, and starter motor. Fill through the gear shifter lever area. There are two pipe plugs on side of tractor to check fluid levels. You may need to use a small funnel to finish the fill through these two check points. When oil runs out of these two holes, tractor is full. Suggest you watch the vid again, closely.

@@redgreentractorthings9043 Hi do you have any info on 300 utility reversed with forklift, im having issue's finding info on hydraulic and filters, I had a bunch of moisture( think i have it drained,,but not sure filter is) and tractor is outside cant work on it Inside,..weather getting better and trying to get her moving again. Thanks

@@mrrj7004 not sure what the forklift comment means? But the best advice I can give would be to,do a google search for a shop manual, not an owners manual for your tractor. This is one I found for the IH 300 Farmall. www.steinertractor.com/IH10-I-T-Shop-Service-Manual. But there are lots of them available from multiple sources.
