@@mattrobson3603 I agree. Plot and characters were great in season 2, but UFO thing just doesn't make any sence.
For those who don't understand the plot, there was a gang war in the midwest between criminal syndicates. I think it was the Kansas City mob against the Minneapolis mob. Local law enforcement gets involved without a real understanding that it's an all out gang war and not just a crime spree. It has nothing to do with the plot of the movie called "Fargo."

The definition of Fargo is about ordinary people in extraordinary situations making bad decisions. The original movie was packed with bad decisions as are all five of the TV series. This clip is the climax of the turf war between the Gerhardt family and the Kansas City mob, although it is the police who are all in white t-shirts. (This was Captain Cheney's spectacularly stupid decision to have all the police out of uniform - Captain Cheney, by the way, is the officer who said "No" before being blown away), so he paid for his stupidity. If you think this clip is nuts wait till you see Season Five - very dark and very brutal.

If you watch season 2 of Fargo, the UFO appears at least four times and even instigates the main "complication" in the very first episode. The entire season is an exploration of case studies of applying the Myth of Sisyphus and the role that outside forces play in determining the outcome of our lives. The UFO is an ultimate metaphor of "outside forces" changing lives. There are plenty of other examples of more realistic "outside forces" discussed and presented in the season, however.

that's realistic. people don't just drop like a sack of bricks after getting shot like they do in movies and tv. the only time that ever happens IRL is if you get shot directly in the heart or if you get shot in the head and it severs the brainsteam. otherwise you can keep on going just like bear did here, especially since the shot to his head was a graze that took away his ear lobe. and even then, i don't really understand the physics of that particular shot because the cop that shot him was on his side, so a 'graze' to the ear would still go through the back of his skull and out the other side. that kind of ear wound is generally only sustained from either the back or the front, unless the bullet is in the middle of some crazy ass ricochet.

I think it’s just a continuity mistake. A lot of times when filming scenes where an actor is handling a firearm and not firing it, they’re usually holding a dummy gun or unloaded firearm(for safety reasons of course). Timeline wise it wouldn’t make sense for him to already be empty after shooting the 2 cops, but scenes like 0:46 will inevitably sneak through the editors room
@arkwill14
2 жыл бұрын
@@dannygloversshotgun211 I guess I would classify it more as a mistake. The actor never should have worked the action of the shotgun because a spent cartridge should have been ejected. Hollywood cliches like neverending pistol magazines and cars that go faster when you change gears.

To be fair, cars DO go faster when you change gears, lol. Anyways, as someone who's worked in film his entire adult life, I can weigh in here. Odds are, these are two separate takes. One where the actor works the action earlier in the scene, and one where he works it later in the scene. The director probably liked the action in both parts of the scene, and stitched the bits together in the editing room, knowing full well there was an error, but preferring to keep the best emotions from both takes. It's a mistake, but it's actually the more professional move. The feel of the scene comes before small continuity errors. I have a saying when editing around these sorts of mistakes. "If anyone notices, we've done our jobs well." If these scene hadn't fucking rocked, you wouldn't have watched it so many times so as to notice. :)
I haven't seen the show and this is a bizarre scene to watch without any context.
Zahn McClarnen at his best!
I wonder if Ricky G realized they were cops before everyone else did.
Uhm.. Why the fuck was there a alien space ship there like that? They all saw it, it was really there and not some hallucination, yet they all just kept murdering each other anyway. Why is this in the show? lmao

Unscripted. It was an actual UFO that came to the set while they were filming.

to show that even a f'ing alien space ship can't make humans stop killing each other; as long as humans are free to decide what to do we will always keep on murdering. And that we are always been judged for our actions.

It is much better when u watch the build up of the entire season
Insanely unrealistic engagement outcomes here. Standing in the kill box without cover yet coming out victorious against multiple opponents in which several had cover and high ground. That Indian would not have survived.

Throughout the Season 2 episodes, he often just walked around killing people and never got even a paper cut. There's two sides to every coin, some people die without firing a shot.
Aw, come on, man! I was waiting for the "it's just a flying saucer" line...
See that 222 door? Good stuff right there.
Gawd what a m16 Wait is this Fargo or damn stranger things

It's NOT an M16. It's supposed to be a civilian AR15 SP1 rifle. We had TONS of those for sale in sporting good shops in 1979. The slab side upper and lower receiver and triangular handguard are the giveaway.

@@BurntPlaydoh that’s an sp1 Ar-15, the first of the Civilian AR-15s. Until the A2 came out in the early ‘80s, the triangle handguard was all you could get for full length rifles.
Never heard of this show. My friend said watch this clip. I'm thinking, nice shooting scene. Nice cinematography. Wait, what... now theres aliens?... What the f@$k is going on?

My thoughts exactly.
Aliens: Greetings earthlings we are here to share our technology in hopes of advancing your civilization and well being. Humans: Proceed to show how violent we are with a full on live show of how we handle each other. Aliens: We will come back and could centuries and see if anything changes.
I got to get me one of those never-reload shotguns. Save on shells, that's for sure.

Gunfights in hotel parking lots with ufos watching?
Bruh what the fuck is happening in this scene. So much is going on, a gang shooting at a motel, a random dude killing people left and right and a fucking alien saucer shows up in the middle of all of it 😂
@lookintoit4537

Cops staying in motel. Gang assumes them to be rival gang and attacks. Native American man is gang hitman gone rogue, killing the don (old lady) and everyone else. Big man is old lady's son, aspirant for don's position. UFO is entirely unrelated to the series, but adds to its quirkiness Watch the series. Its awesome.

What a show!
It's all fun and games until Hanzee gets involved. I always felt that his character's actions were more in the desire to cleanse himself of evil influence. It was all around him. Suffocating him. For decades. This was his exit strategy.

To be honest, those cops had it coming. They don't care for the couple's safety and only doing the set up for reputation even their captain smugly tells his colleauges they will have a medal and seeing him patheticly begs for his life before getting shot in cold blood gives me some sort of satisfaction
