Its amazing seeing some of the stunts. More than a decade ago i saw a speed run that was 1h:30m, and that was already amazing. But this one, i just watch with my jaw open the entire time. This was my first FPS game when i had like 9 years old, and still to this day i play it, so i know the game very well but only the normal way xD

The trick is really something insane but unfortunately we cannot control the direction of the boost yet as it is totally up to a random chance at the moment. The boost itself doesnt happen everytime theres some luck required for it thats why we dont use it yet in one segment runs 👍

@@dozexx995 Well, but it is the first level, the beginning of the game. Why don't you use the glitch if you can easily start again in case of failing it? At that time, a speedrun is under 1 minute. Just wondering.

@@mrzombie7681 Getting to that fence alone costs approx. 45 seconds. Getting the boost somewhat good to save those 8-10 seconds would give chances to get it 1 in 25 times. So if you sum it up you loose 45x25 = over 15minutes in the first level to get it once.

​@@dozexx995привет, пару дней назад был открыт новый баг (хотя учитывая всю проработку мест, которые достигаются путем "багов" это скорее альтернативные пути) который может в теории помочь сократить время довольно-таки сильно, на миссии болото можно идти не к машине, а к воротам и камню рядом с ними, если на него забратся (сложность забирания довольно велика), то можно перелезть ворота и сразу пробежать до второй машины, которая (не проверено) рабочая и при этом не занятая велл, что из этого скипа может следовать 1. более быстрое завершение автоскроллера 2. возможность пропустить сопровождение велл 3. возможность добратся до погрузчика в минимальные сроки, этот скип - лишь теория, он может быть медленней стандартного пути, а может при лучшем раскладе сэкономить минуты 2-3😊

in archives, after getting outside again, wouldn't running with the machete be faster than with the falcon? i'm not exactly sure what the exact movement speeds with different weapons are but the machete always felt like the fastest one out there

Thanks for the comment. We investigated and got to conclusion that deagle and machete have the same - 100% walking speed.

Bro, you're still grinding this game? I watched your world record video ages ago. Is this the unmodified, vanilla Steam release? The AI you're fighting doesn't appear to be the same aim bot + trigger-happy MFs that I played against last month when I did my own casual playthrough. Regardless, good fricking job on the speedrun time. It took me a solid 5 or so days to finish the game (I am a pathetic looser who was scared by this game and it's mutants as a child and still struggles to play it even though it isn't necessarily scary)

Thank you for your comment. This version of the game was unmodified as we know GOG and Steam versions are equally the same. So I am using the GOG version.

From level catacombs, it automitically gives the communicator in river, even if you didn't pick it up in catacombs

You're right, but it's not cheated. You can read the video description, it says there that this speedrun is compiled together from the fastest gathered clips and put togethet to show the approximately perfect run of the game.

Its segmented category, so basically its from save game to save game clips, that were grinded very very much to get the closest possible time

u did it faster than the game is designed
