Would be a dream for this game to get rebooted or remastered for PC along with Evolution. Great change of pace from the free-roaming that's getting exhausted with the newer entries.

Nah, it's a solid 6/10 game. Nowhere near HL2 quality. Full of lazy invisible walls, infinitely respawning enemies (sometimes right in front of you, or they come outta nowhere), and I've been intentionally killed by the environment plenty of times (walking into logs, getting stuck and softlocked). you're just blinded by nostalgia

@@zxbryc Everyone has their opinions. I, for one, and exhausted by Ubisoft making Far Cry the same game over and over with different themes. I'm not praising Instincts' entirety, I just wish we had something like it today that wasn't another free-roaming character focused bore. Not exactly how Far Cry 1 started as, but it nailed itself into gaming history.

This is the one and only far cry game! We need a remaster of it.

nice for you, but even FC3 looks dated in a decent amount of aspects. this game is even worse in the textures regard however I really like Instincts Predator anyway

I didn't realize this was a weird spinoff game and kept waiting to get my animal powers in Far Cry 2. Took me half the game before I figured it out.

One of the best games for me! still play it... it has so much amazing ideas and a deep atmosphere, soundtrack etc. The most games today are childish, no atmosphere nothing. Games back then were much better, like the old Splinter Cell, XIII, Deus Ex Invisible War and more.

Far Cry 1 > All Far Cry.

Pretty solid, love this game. Currently doing a playthrough myself. Turn off the bullet and aim helpers and crank it up to predator difficulty for a proper challenge. Overall good though, thanks for posting.
