When you love a sport so deeply but you know the dirt underneath its administrative carpet. We need more people like Ali. Love him even more!!!

Great speech by Farag after accepting the trophy. Pity it was cut from this highlight - Yes, it fits the narrative of us in the west to condemn what is happening with Russia in Ukraine, but there are many other conflicts and invasions (some ongoing like his example) that we turn a blind eye to ….. very well said Ali.

Ali once again showing such class and humility in an incredible victory. His movement on court is the best in the world, even when injured he can get almost everything a fully fit Elias throws at him. What a player.

Such a shame cutting off Ali's speech, after all it's only 45 seconds. Every single sport has highlighted what their top athletes had to say or contribute about the current global situation..!! 🤔 Cutting these 45 seconds off if anything it just proves his words were on point.. 😒

This match shows me clearly Diegos' ability to be no 1, all depends on is mental state. His game is very all round, good at drop shots, long rallies, and has height. Farags style is so unique which works well if you play the new style of squash with it being a top court match. I am convinced a very good traditional line and length player is the weakness of Ali, just like Coll is starting to show. As long as the new crop of Egyptians play flashy fun squash with nicks, it will be difficult to see him drop convincingly.

Where is the part where he talks about Palestine? C’mon guys 7 of the top 10 players are from Egypt where the dominant religion is Islam and when one of them make a very serious statement about the unfair treatment that Muslims get in the media and in general, and try to bring awareness about a very stinky situation that’s happening in Palestine, the comment is cut off. He’s an athlete and this is his platform, he deserves all your support. They all do. Squashtv should leave the coments in the highlights, because that’s how it’s gonna get heard.

Ali Farag: Nobody should ever accept any killings in the world, any oppression. But we've never been allowed to speak about politics in sports, but all of a sudden now it's allowed. So, that we're allowed, I hope that people also look at the oppression everywhere in the world. I mean, the Palestinians have been going through that for the past 74 years and, well, I guess because it doesn't fit the narrative of the media of the West, we couldn't talk about it, but now that we can talk about the Ukraine, we can talk about Palestinians. So please keep that in mind!

How did Farag win this while being injured. On a negative note, outside the squash court, it is hard to believe this was the final of a major tournament between two of the top players in the world. Really uninspired crowd and commentators. Then we wonder why pádel is already miles ahead of squash. At this rate we will fall behind Jai Alai.

padel ahead of squash?? 😂😂😂. Padel is joke sport in compared to badminton or squash. Or tennis. Or table tennis. Its fun as people learn it quickly but the top players have lightyears in padel to go before they are even close as good athletes as Faraq, Elias, Coll, Momota, Lee Zia Jia and so on.....
