Now we’re at Far Cry 6. And we still didn’t have an epic story like the first :( 6 feels like another 3, yet still better than 3 in many ways. But who cares about 3, and Vaas right? Krieger is a better and more underrated villain than Vaas.

When somebody do good remake of Far Cry movie, this must be Credits music. Both intro and ending ones.

I agree that FC1 is the best. The mutants were awesome. It has the best level editor in the series, which is important. Black Ops 2 is looking pretty good, much better than the first one anyway.

Ah.... I remeber the good old days when I had E4300 coupled with 7900gt, 2GB DDR2 and Windows XP. Far cry ran maxed without a glitch on the config.

@Negan You had a diary in FC2 to learn the storyline on your own. There were cutscenes, where the Jackal was explaining other bits of the situation, and the character was mute to give player more immersion, unlike that weird FC3 boy, who is really not about killing in cutscenes, yet while in game he will kill every baddie. I guess you're to used to be entertained by the game itself, and not by yourself with the help of game. It appears that FC2 is not your type of the game, so don't be too quick on saying such statements

Ah The late nights playing this with my uncle. Unforgettable. Totally non linear.. No regen health bullshit, Hard, Fun, Tactical. all in 1 package. And Ofcourse the amazing theme song.. On par with my favourites such as Doom.

Really that would be a buyer for me for sure.

@OOIEatte Just give Far Cry a chance and you will be pleasently surprised :P This game has a unique soul and atmosphere and best jungle-sounds ever, amazingly well working and interesting gameplay, It actually features stealth, nothing cheap like in Crysis. The game is that enjoyable, no way another shooters can beat it :P

I have Far Cry but I've never seen the water gaze effect as in the picture.

fc1 also had a much more lengthy campaign, and due to the awesome level design, the game could be replayed over and over again

Far Cry is so much better game than Crysis...the level design is one of the best in FPS games and ofcourse Far Cry was simply the most amazing looking game of it's time and even today it looks great...personally I prefer the more colourful graphics of Far Cry than the "photorealism" of Crysis.

@jurisnake8 I've played it through many times, love it. I do prefer Crysis for various reasons though, less bugs, more refined, graphics, physics, level design etc. only thing that nags me about Crysis is the horrible ending and the bullet sponge enemies, other than that, it's awesome. Far Cry has it's unique place in my heart, I was a console gamer until I played it at a friend and I knew I had to get it, so I did. Upgrading my PC cost me a fortune but it was worth it.

Far Cry 1 realistic and no AI balanced is the best fps game.

And the Trigenes or some other Mutants. Something that turns the paradise into hell again!

fc3 had a short campaign, sure it was open world and you could continue exploring the world after you completed the game, but the world was small and I did everything there was to do so quickly after the campaign. Fc1's level design was superior and the AI was aggresive and rutheless (10x more aggressive than fc3). Giving way more hours of fun, and memorable moments. Far cry 3 was not the best in the series.

I wasn't too fond of this game, but it sure as hell had a awesome soundtrack.

One of the best, if not the best video game orchestral themes. The brass and percussion is so strong and moving, the little bits of electronic sounds mixed in are excellent. They don't make em' like this anymore, now it's pulling out shitty pop songs, old rock songs that have been done 100 times before (black ops II - Back in black, ACDC) or just making a bunch of shitty noise (battlefield 3 - that shitty distorted bass noise - what happened to the 1942 theme?)

This game NEEDS to be re-made, and the sequels of said remake on-par with the original FC story. Cryengine 1 levels can be ported up to Cryengine Next-Gen, so why the hell not?
