The area was upgraded because of the nuclear attacks that wipe out everything in the it's more colorful because the growth plants

Kinda breaks my heart to see Hope County in ruins. Definitely one of my favorite Far Cry games, both of them.

Yeah FarCry 5 had the best villain in the series. I just love the whole concept of Joseph Seed and his cult. He really thinks that all pain and suffering he's causing is justified. In his mind all people that don't cooperate with him are already dead anyways. Those are the people he can't save. And I love that this concept is deeper talked about in the songs." We will rise again" for example. One line says, "We'll enter edens garden and never look back" Saying they leave all harm and suffering that they caused behind them, after they get out on the surface when the fallout settlet. And Far cry 5 Hope County was awesome too. The lighting looked a lot more real in 5 vs New Dawn. But new dawn lighing was more fantasy like to match the whole post apocalyptic style :D

Same here, Far Cry 5 is my favorite game of all time. I played it 400hrs+ Completed the campaign more than 5 times. Still Playing. Far Cry 5 is really a Over-underrated Masterpiece. Totally different from all other Far Cry games, best in franchise after Far Cry 3.

@@edensgate8346 Finally someone I can agree with on something. Yes, Far Cry 5 is a masterpiece. Hope County is beautiful, all those forests, hills, mountains, rivers, lakes, farms, the story, the antagonists, I really like the idea of an apocalyptic cult + their characters and their music, ooh, excellent. New Dawn pretty much killed that feel. It's too colorful, looks like a fairy tale and the plot isn't that interesting at all.

Most of all, the masterpiece soundtrack just perfectly matches with the environment and situations of the game. That is how a soundtrack should be, Perfection at another level. Too bad the entire FC5 map wasn't in ND.

You never understand how pristine the world in far cry 5 looks until you play New Dawn.

If I get New Dawn, I'll probably just play it once, finish the story, and then come back to FC5. I honestly can't stand seeing the ruins of Hope County.

The prison mission broke my heart knowing who it belonged to in the first place

The map in New Dawn is a little bit smaller than Far Cry 5. But the atmosphere is much better in my opinion.

@@DokiKimori i agree. Im still playing both. I enjoy the peaceful downtime in FC5. But at times i also enjoy being randomly attacked by monster animals and enemies, thats when i play new dawn. I love the forever spawning enemies.

Farcry 3 fixing the broken thumb always made me shiver oof

when I saw the prison my heart broke.

The prison is now the bullet factory and placed totally elsewhere.

New Dawn's definitely got a unique look compared to all the brown post-apocalyptic shooters out there, but I think the new saturation and shaders make it look more like a video game that actual Montana. Guess you can chalk that up to the bombs though.

I like how alive it looks even after the bombs. It takes just a short time for vegetation to come back and some plants can survive the blast and radiation. Most other games except maybe S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and even a couple of the Fallout games ( I know there are probably more like the ones mentioned) look like everything is barren and dead with no plant life and just a few animals and mutated monsters

Great video! I love FC5 but have been reluctant to play New Dawn because I felt like it would be abandoning the places in FC5. Seeing the same locations still there makes me want to play ND. It's sad every familiar place is in ruins, but at the same time, kind of refreshing that nature thrives.

You know, looking at this video, I'm honestly surprised by just how photorealistic Far Cry 5 can be at times. That game looks so ridiculously good. The only downside, however, is that the game is severely lacking in dynamic physics with the trees, grass, and bushes. Had Ubisoft just touched upon that aspect, Far Cry 5 would've looked so much better.

You can really tell how much Far Cry New Dawn graphics has changed from Far Cry 5 😱😱

Not every place in New Dawn is beautiful and colorful. There's still areas out of bounds that are completely destroyed, foggy and all gray. And, you know, hundreds of years after a nuclear devastation the nature is reborn and takes over the entire world. Vegetation could be more or less colorful depending on the radiation levels

Many people loved Far Cry 5 and wanted more story and thats what they gave us and it packed way more than a DLC. I honestly wish the same had been been done with the last Bioshock, yea I know they had the DLC chapters but they were so short...New dawn doesnt have a bad story and satisfied the void for more farcry 5 in a short time frame and $40 is nothing so I dont see why people are crying..

Nope, New Dawn came 11 months after FC5. It's nearly impossible to make a game in that time. They were already working on New Dawn before FC5 came out.

Always wondered about that. I couldnt seem to match the locations in both games. Thanks!

Man I loved fc5 when it came out and didn’t think they could improve on it anymore but new dawn exceeded my expectations

Halfway through my playthrough of New Dawn, I realized that it also took place in Hope County. So I looked this up and sure enough...

And here I am still obsessed with the signature buzzsaw from FC4... Good times... The fact that Timber can revive me forever restores my faith in New Dawn lolol

You can get the Buzzsaw from Far Cry 4 in Far Cry 5 and New Dawn but however its not called "Buzzsaw" in those games, its just standard MG-42. Also its slightly weaker in Far Cry 5 so to make it like the Buzzsaw, equip it with Pierce Ammo and Enhanced Ranger scope or any scope of your choice and your set, it will shred everything

Jakub Němec hope county was beautiful but it’s America northern country. Who hasn’t seen that? FC4 took place in Nepal and the Himalayans. Not a location featured often in games. It’s pretty obvious you’ve only played FC5, noob.

Far cry New Dawn Hope county is really sad and it is heart broken for Carmina rye and her family seeing this it makes me sad. And far cry 5 didn't survival the nuke and they died in new dawn so sad of them including Hudson dead and the sheriff as well.

Are those seriously the only areas of the map you can still access? Where's the F.A.N.G centre? Where's the Seed Ranch, where's Joseph's compound? Where are Faith and John's bunkers? C'mon dude, this video hardly shows anything other than Falls end, really. I hope you'll be making more.

Any farcry game's set after the nukes between 2018 and 2035 would be affected all I know is it was with China or north Korea and USA it's in the crashed plane where you find the splinter cell outfit there's a map. But anyway I think it's going to be referenced alot in any games set after that all ik Europe and South America isn't affected.

3, 4 and 5 are my fav Far Crys. New Dawn was good but that last mission was so annoying, I had to leave the game. FC 6 on the other hand doesn't feel like far cry at all for some reason. I dont feel that survival vibe of Far cry in the 6th instalment.

The nuclear explosions causes strong winds that are able to cut down trees, destroy houses to the ground and everything. So, stick cars to the dirt is the minimum of that

Far cry 5 is the best because in New Dawn the new stuff is tougher enemies and better armor for them so we dont have any choices but dying
