Finished it this year, giant pain in the ass. Difficulty slider is useless since the AI is smart and aimbots hard, the AI is so smart that it felt like it was about to come out of the screen and try to shoot me irl.

the latest patch for farcry on steam broke the AI so they just shoot though walls n shit

@@zombiedeutsch You finished it on a potato then, PS3 version is a totally different game. If you play it on a modern PC, the AI becomes as smart as Skynet.

@@atitana ps3 version is almost the same game. Same story, same settings and same maps and missions. It's just not as open world as the pc game. Idk what your talking about, i think the last time i played it was on a core i5 4440 and haven't noticed any strange behavior. But there's a wide screen patch, along with many fixes for modern hardware. You have to install that.

@@ZnifferN Yes. I recognize JayFlipz, people who made maps on Xbox look up to him for inspiration... even though you don't really see him around. CuZtds_Lst_Stnd is a moderator of the forum, as seen in this video. I have played with Maxprey, claybacca, and SugarMomma. I think Maxprey and SugarMomma might be a couple or married if I remember correctly, and then they moved on to the PlayStation 3 with Far Cry 2 and Little Big Planet. If I'm wrong with them being a couple, then I'm wrong. I have played their maps in Far Cry Instincts Evolution, and I remember claybacca's Bank Heist map as the map's name is seen on 4:10. Because their names are posted on the websites and forum, I think the people I mentioned had developed a reputation for themselves among the community. They had their own map-making forums and map contests, which I have participated in, which are long gone. There are people who still play these games as of today, whether that's on Far Cry Instincts Predator on the Xbox 360 or playing Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry Instincts Evolution on XLink Kai. They are between the ages of 30 to 70. If they are in their 30s now, they were likely teens or preteens from 2005 to 2007. When Far Cry 2 came out, I don't think I ever saw them again. Maxprey, SugarMomma and maybe even Claybacca himself were all in a clan known as Genesis Device. Of course, they should come here to confirm this information themselves because I wouldn't exactly remember everything and everyone from nearly 20 years ago.

If anyone wants to use that theme of Firefox right now, you can use Pale Moon with the Fox 2 The Moon theme! I have difficulty using Pale Moon, but nostalgia is nostalgia lol

I remember begging a friend of mine to borrow his physical copy of this game way back in the day before I knew how to crack the game, had it installed but without the disk you just simply couldn't play it.

Happened to me sometimes aswell, heartbreaking moment

Great vid man! My dad introduced me to the Far Cry franchise with the first entry on our old PC, same with Far Cry 2...good times. One thing to note though, but I think it comes down to personal reference, what I would change are the songs/soundtracks in the background while browsing the forums, websites. -Instead of full on hearing them as the viewers, you should either not use them just like the Vice City video (reason being that the only thing we hear is the mouse, pressing the keyboard searching the web while waiting for the game to install and the fan of the PC when we were younger...at least in my case) -OR put the soundtracks in the backgrounds still, but way more muffled, just like how the Rockstar North part of the intro plays out having the song ''Video Killed the Radio Star'' in the background muffled, while hearing the keyboard (you don't have to implement that, but would be cool), making it look like you're hearing the song out of your TV or radio near you, when you're using the PC. I think this will have a bigger level of immersion. You could add what I said before, the noise of the clicks, keyboard, fan etc...but it's up to you. It's your video in the end and you choose how to edit it and put it together. I'll enjoy this level of nostalgia that you're providing however you execute it. One last thing, if you want, it would be cool to see NFS Most Wanted or Carbon next. Keep it up man!
