Yeah Faouzia was born in Morocco but has lived in Canada for her whole life, having emigrated with her parents as a baby and growing up there. She is Canadian. To underscore her origin, she is Moroccan-Canadian. Educated at home by her parents, she is fluent in Darija and understands Moroccan heritage

What surprises me is that she is not getting recognition in Canada or the province she lives in. When you ask anyone if they have heard her sing no one knows her. She is a super star. Best singer out there.

Faouzia is just incredible. I don't like most of her songs because I'm a metal head, but some are just gorgeous. I like her songs Minefields (with John Legend) and You Don't Even Know Me (even though it's a pop song 😅). Have you heard of Daneliya Tuleshova (she went to AGT a few years ago)? She covered Tears of Gold when she was only 14 years old and is also very talented. She's from Kazakhstan like Dimash. 😉

Meh. She’s ok. But honestly, singers like her are a dime a dozen these days.

Nah, there are always trolls knowing nothing about singing, such as you or real_vangogh, popping up and deliberately put down artists they don't like to shore up their sense of self-worth.
