There's something truly mad about Brennan rolling like 47 times on dice then saying "It couldn't have been any other way."

kristen giving half her roll to protect angwyen and arianwen is incredibly sweet, but also incredibly frustrating considering how much bullshit they could have been spared sophomore year if those two had just gotten torched right then and there.

I mean, yeah, okay, sure. But Brennan just would have crafted some other theoretical bullshit to engage the party and further the bad guy’s goal. Because that’s what he’s there for, and he does a damn good job, so I have no doubt whatever he wrote up would have been equally as frustrating for the the party to overcome. I can understand not liking those NPCs, but their deaths only would have given Adaine a different story in SY, and I’m pretty sure Siobhan liked the arc she had.

I’m pretty sure no matter the roll the Abernant’s were just going to teleport away, it just makes sense especially given their neglectful and avoiding behaviour. But then again who knows, the magic of dnd!

(in shriek week, each player's pronouns were showed in their name banner in introductions, Ally is definitely just they/them 👍)
