FANTASTIC VALUE - Aloft Hotel Bangkok, Thailand - Review

OMG!!!

I always avoided staying at hotels like Aloft, Courtyard and Four Points By Sheraton as I like my luxury hotels with all the bells and whistles that come with staying in a 5 star hotel. I always assumed that as these are the cheapest hotels I would not really enjoy staying at these hotels. However, I happened to be walking past the Aloft on my morning walk and so decided to pop in.
For reference, I am a Titanium Elite member of Marriott Bonvoy. So I wanted to see what benefits I could expect whilst staying at the hotel.
As I entered there were two things that caught my attention straightaway! The first, the fun, colourful and vibrant décor and the second, how nice and friendly the staff were! The hotel GM came and said hello to me and we had a good chat and I got a great feeling that I would be looked after here! So I booked 3 nights! (Normally, I book 1 or 2 nights as a test when staying at a new hotel).
I am so glad I tried this hotel! So much so that I booked a 4th night before moving on!
The service was fantastic! I really (really) enjoyed my breakfast each morning whilst listening to the nice relaxing music being played in the restaurant! I didn’t use the gym or swimming pool. But I did take a look and the gym is decent enough for this hotel but the stand out feature has to be the infinity pool with great city views and you get stunning morning sunrise views! There is a pool bar and the attendant was so friendly!
The room was a good size. I would like a bit more power from the shower but not a major issue.
The location is fantastic as Soi 11 is great for both foodies and party animals both around the hotel and a standalone nightclub within the hotel, and is equally good for shoppers as there are plenty of nearby malls to choose from and great transport links. Speaking of which, the hotel also has a fun Tuk Tuk service that drops you to the Westin (corner of Soi 19 and Sukhumvit Rd) which is so handy!
If you are vegan or vegetarian, the hotel can cater for you but there are so many restaurants close by to choose from. For example, The Vegan Table, Dosa King and more!
If you prefer to pay with points, on most occasions it will only cost about 12,000 bonvoy points to redeem and with the 5th night free that makes it 5 nights for just 48,000 points! Incredible value!
The hotel maybe one of the cheaper hotels, meaning a 4 star property on paper, but I experienced a 5 star service! It is excellent value for money and I will most definitely stay at this hotel again and soon!
