I like the idea that they come for a more Utopic alternate universe, and then come to ours which is... less so. It would be like a reverse of the Captain America: The First Avenger ending.

That's assuming if they'll do that at all, because if this movie is set in the current MCU timeline, then people will kill Feige and the MCU for lying about this BS marketing ploy.

I never was a fan of the Fantastic Four taking place during the 1960's as it felt it was just retreading old ground that MCU have already taken with Captain America and Captain Marvel. However, if Fantastic Four take place in a retro-futuristic 1960's alternate universe envisioned by Jack Kirby then you have something fresh and different that the MCU has never done. Also, when the Fantastic Four does transition to the main MCU, it can be a smoother transition if the Fantastic Four came from a modern world that just so happen to have 1960's aesthetics with an updated twist.

Imagine in Chang Chi the end credit scene its them F4 calling out for help or sending a signal. Idk, theories are accepted.

Suddenly them choosing the Shalla-Bal version of Silver Surfer for this movie makes a lot more sense. They’ll save the Norrin Radd version for the main MCU universe.

I like the idea of a futuristic 60s aesthetic . I'd always imagined that Reed's scientific genius would've advanced nyc far beyond what the current tony of the mcu would've so that when they arrive in our mcu universe it's almost disappointing to them . Like their 60s is what tony envisioned our present day or future to be like so we're almost kinda primitive in their eyes . So much so that when reed hears of the avengers time traveling it'll be funny to him , respectfully , cause in his universe he'd discovered how to time travel and dimension hop in his late teens/early 20s and had moved on to bigger and crazier scientific revolutions . Maybe he even finds the idea of having to shrink to the atomic level to do so to be "cute" , still fascinated at the idea nonetheless but still giving his take on things and making adjustments and recommendations on how to do it even more efficiently without the chance of being stuck in a subatomic state of existence . His corrections leaving even hank pym and Bruce banner beyond speechless thus comic accurately signifying him as marvels smartest individual . I like the idea , mcu could have a hit with this one

I hope this film bites off of Alex Ross’s Full Circle a lil at least…also the MCU is 199999 and I will die on this hill

The city in the background could be Attilan the home of the Inhumans..In Ironman first movie Nick Fury said there was other heroes....Still waiting on the original Human Torch to show up again last seen in Captain America the first Avenger

Dr. Strange did mention in multiverse of madness towards Reed he thought they had been lost in the 60s. So they do exist in the main universe

No, when they introduced Reed he said "Fantastic Four? Didn't you guys chart in the 60s?" This is probably a music easter egg, since The Beatles went by the Fab Four

This movie is gonna start in an alternate timeline with a female silver surfer… she’ll be a potential one off. Then they move then to the main timeline and Radd will be the main version of the silver surfer from there…. My thoughts 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just really hope they stick the landing with this ive always wanted to see a great Fantastic Four story and especially knowing one of my favorite actors Pedro Pascal is leading the team makes me even more hyped I got my fingers crossed for this one

Yes the marvel heroes from this earth, the Fantastic 4 from another universe , and the Xmen from still another universe would work building up stories for a future Avengers movie.

Regarding the 2005 Fantastic Four, my biggest issue with that movie was that it was trying to replicate what Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man was. You can tell that Fox saw the success of Spider-Man and just tried to emulate that movie down to the cheesy tone and having it be set in New York. Just because it worked for Spider-Man doesn’t mean it was going to work for Fantastic Four. Also, if you look at Julian McMahon’s Doctor Doom, they just turned him into Norman Osborn by having him do the same thing as Willem Dafoe’s Norman Osborn; he’s the CEO of a company that was kicked out by the board of his company and seeks revenge by killing them. It’s the EXACT SAME THING. And the worst part about those Spider-Man comparisons was that Fox didn’t even try to hide them.

My question is how do they get to the mcu do they lose? Why else would they switch worlds or is it simply a throw away deadpool post credit scene

If the Fantastic Four are holding Time Magazines from the 60s related to John F. Kennedy and Star Trek, they're in no Utopia. It's just a poster. Marvel already made it known that the Fantastic Four will originate from some other universe, but they will end up, by the end of the movie, living in the main MCU. Evidently, Galactus and Silver Surfer, the one cast yesterday, won't survive. That univeree is deatroyed. Norrin Rad will prove to be in the main MCU when The Fantastic Four arrives.

The loki show is one of their better received prpjects they have had. Multiverse of madness while not universally beloved is better eceived than some of the other projects. Nwh made close to 2 billion dollars. So yeah the multiverse is fine.

I think John is misspeaking here.. they are in the mcu just not in the universe as we know it..

No, it was bad because of the writing.
