Just a little Santa Claus history tonight. Saint Nicholas was a real person from the Christian Middle East. He saved three young girls whose father was poor and couldn't afford their doweries. This meant that they would more than likely become prostitutes to support themselves and the others in the family. St Nicholas heard about the problem and one night he passed their bedroom window and tossed some gold coins into their shoes. This became the tradition of gold chocolate coins in stockings. The story spread over the years and Saint Nickolas in the germanic language was pronounced as Sinter Clause which became anglicanized into Santa Claus. My sister and I bought our mom the panther planter, when I was about 10, in 1969-70. Underneath the planter was an iron and wooden coffee grinder, like the one my grandpa used, when I was a kid.

6:51 I love it that you “try not to look too hard” at items you don’t need more of. 😅 I do the same thing. Before I turn down a particular aisle, I try to program my brain to spot ‘high end items only.’ I don’t know why this rule is so hard to stick to!
