Exactly and Walker did have good intentions going into this. He didn't want to be or replace Steve. He's just trying to be the best Captain America he can be. Also as we learned in this episode he probably did some tough stuff over in Afghanistan and he saw this as a chance to finally do something good. However, just taking up the shield doesn't change who you are on the inside. You can also see what led him to taking the serum which was the catalyst point for his character arc. He keeps trying to do his best and he's constantly beaten, disrespected, questioned, and undermined. So he turns to take the serum, I think shortly before all that went down towards the end. Which means that he is in an unstable state and then he sees his best friend die. At that point all reason and rationality have left the building, all he sees is red. That's why I love his character because you can track his character arc and it makes sense and is even sympathetic in a way. Especially with what happened in episode 5 with him and the gov't.

*Wanda:* Enslaves a whole town of people, twists reality, goes insane after she "loses" her made up children, murders inoccent people, and uses an obviously evil artifact named the Darkhold. *Reaction:* What a poor misunderstood woman. *Walker:* Serves his country, becomes a new Cap, dies his best to meet everyones expectation, loses his best friend, understandably kills a terrorist in rage. *Reaction:* Everyone hates him (including Sam & Bucky) for not being Steve even though he didnt do anything previously, gets court martialed, government throws him under the bus for doing what he's told, stripped of the CA title, the real world actor gets hated on and death threats.

Right, I'm glad that i looked more into US Agent. Me personally, I'm not that fond of how Walker acts but when Lemar died, I couldn't help but feel bad for him. That was his friend and voice of reasoning.

I agree. The actor performing as Walker was phenomenal! I absolutely hated him as character but I also appreciated the complexity. It is like when we discuss someone being racist in the US. Sometimes the answer is far more complex than just race.

Still mind boggling how people get mad at walker for killing literal terrorists 😅 Karli and the rest of em got what they deserved.

I don’t even think Karli meant to kill Lemar, it’s just the fact that the serum makes you say more powerful than you even realize and one lash out can be fatal. This is what Zemo was trying to explain. Cap knew how to control that strength and keep his emotions in check which made him a great hero.

I think Karli realized after this episode that she now had 3 people who wanted her dead. *Walker, Zemo, and the person she stole serum from.*

I didn’t really see anyone in this video (or online) hating on it because it was dark, mostly people just saying “well that was probably one of the darkest moments so far.” On the other hand, you have DC fans complaining that their movies are trying to be like marvel whenever there’s humor.

That ending hurt my soul. Walker’s reputation is ruined now. Everyone saw him use the shield to kill out of anger. The end gave me Anakin turning to the dark side vibes.

My thoughts -See the panthers of Wakanda taking over when she gave Bucky 8 hours for Zemo was actually because it was for a friend since it was she who helped him overcome his programing and also that since 6 years ago shows why people want Stan as Luke Skywalker because he can act and it shows in that scene alone. -Walker's madness how been shown and now he has stain the legacy of the shield(even tho it has been with Steve in the ice for 70 years so not much of a legacy there) but it has a legacy and now it is stain. -Also that song that Zemo was singing is called Baba Black Sheep and it is a nursery rhyme and a poem. -The Wakandans are the most elite warriors in the world except for the OG Avengers that is but they wiped the floor with John Walker and it nearly destroyed his faith in himself and that he is unworthy of the shield. -As for the Power Broker again y'all should know who it is by now and she is someone that is very chose to the main characters.
