FANBOYS and Coordinating Conjunctions | The Parts of Speech | English Grammar
Learn about the seven coordinating conjunctions: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, and so. FANBOYS is an acronym to help you remember these coordinating conjunctions. FANBOYS help join verbs, nouns, adjectives, phrases, and clauses.
In this lesson, I will give you a brief overview of all seven coordinating conjunctions. Then I will teach you about each conjunction on its own with sentence examples. We will also discuss when to use commas with coordinating conjunctions.

Yes! Always use commas before coordinating conjunctions when they join independent clauses. Transcription websites expect it. :)
