Thank you for the test to refresh our knowledge. It was most helpful for me. I was able to correctly answer the 10 examples correctly. Best wishes and regards!😀
Good ass video!
What this make no sense
Native English speaker here. I have struggled with comma splices for an extremely long time. How come I just found out what run-on sentences are!? I'm an example of why you should pay attention in English class, people.
i got 8/10
I got 5/7 . I'm not too good at punctuation . I hope to have you as my private teacher.
Extremely helpful! I really struggle with commas. Thank you!
I didn't think the comma after Italy was needed; it's the only one I missed.
Im fluent in english but this was tricky thanks for the help hahah
Mam you speak really good I am inspired by the way you speak, how can I speak like you kindly make a video and give some suggestions I wanna to have accent like you
Could you create a video about the usage of however, therefore, etc in a sentence?
Thanks! It was helpful.
Nice method of teaching ❤
Thank you !
Great as the lesson is, I would like to ask: Is a comma always used before a quotation mark rather than a period? For example "The car was stollen," Gerald sighed." vs "The car was stollen." Gerald sighed. Thank you so much for this video, Jennifer! Best regards from Ukraine! Keep it up!
"The car was stolen," Gerald sighed. This is correct!
Nice one
Great video - thank you!
Hi, sweetheart I feel happy because I answered the questions with confidence tonight. Is this a sign of improving? 10/10 Thanks, dear teacher🌹
Great lesson! I get stumped a lot putting my comma AFTER the end quotation. Do you ALWAYS use the comma or punctuation mark inside the quotation marks? For instance, Mary said, “My dog’s name is Rex”. Or is it this way? Mary said, “My dog’s name is Rex.” What if you wrote it this way? Mary said, “My dog’s name is “Rex”. Do you still put period (the punctuation mark) inside the quotation marks? (I got one wrong). Thanks. Kindness, Teresa
All correct , after my second attempt . You learn from your mistakes ! Three wrong .
8/10
Great job! ☀️
As always, a great lesson.
Thank you! 🥰

This was a refresher for me. The content was clear and to the point, and easy to understand, although I forgot 2 of the 8 rules😅. I got all correct. Gracias.
Well done! Thank you for your kind words. :)
I wish you had spent more time explaining number 7. The sentence that was good as is. It looked very much like a run on sentence to me.
"This was an "interesting" lesson!" "This was an interesting lesson!" "I am "happy" to answer the questions!" "I am happy to answer the questions!" "Who knows why he's "bored?" "Who knows why he's bored?" "His "proactive" approach added fuel to the fire!" "His proactive approach added fuel to the fire!" Thank you so much, Jennifer! Best regards from Ukraine! Now, scare quotes don't scare me.😊

Very good lesson! I enjoy learning and being tested on my grammar. I got all the answers correct this time. Funny story, there used to be a car I’d see drive around my town that had a sign on it that read “A lot is two words”. It stuck in my mind. Thank you.
I love that sign!
For number 14, could the answer be : Mister Jones is a great teacher , and he is very patient. ?

Punctuation, punctuation, punctuation, it is critically important in writing. Eight out of eight. Thank you so much, Jennifer! Best regards from Ukraine! Keep up the great work!
18/20
5/8😢
7/8 I had put a comma after super market realizing that the whole sentence was an independent variable held together by a conjunction.

Do we capitalize the first word after a colon? Example: Mary has three pets: a cat, a bird, and a dog. Mary has three pets: A cat, a bird, and a dog.
Great question! No, we don't capitalize the first word after a colon unless it is a proper noun.

I find that it's almost always better to include it than not in an effort to reduce ambiguity and maximize clarity.
Are vocatives also necessary when greeting a recipient at the beginning of an e-mail, or do people commonly omit them for stylistic reasons?
