Great upgrade, next week (same as me) you need a new rig because you totally destroy that flimsy thing with your new hardware. Good luck with the metal fatige 🤣👍

Fanatec are good, I had a csw2.5 until it died (twas 2nd hand) The issue you've got mate, is like most DD wheel bases you're locked into an eco system for extra rims etc, so sticking with Fanatec for your peripherals makes sense.....Just not to the missus or your bank manager.

Load cell brakes are faaaaaantastic. It adds way more to the racing experience than I would have thought. Makes the driving far more physical, and the brakes become very predictable and you can get the muscle memory going really quick. Trail braking is so much easier too. You'll love it.

Ive the china knockoff and ironically the pedal plate has a nice box section on underside which handles load cell pedal well, if you dont have that across bottom then id recommend tacking one on. Also, diagonally brace the uprights, that makes a world of difference Cant link it here but you can probably glance it on my sim rig anywhere vid. B&Q box section, £10, drill some nuts and bolts and your sorted

Is there a big upgrade from quest 2 to quest 3 in DR2? nice to see that your getting a handbrake and load cell brakes these upgrades will give a whole other xp.

It drives me nuts that seemingly every sim rig design utilizes friction from tightening down bolts to hold its adjustments. This never works. When they inevitably come even slightly loose, the adjustment starts to wander and flop around. And so every customer has to modify them somehow to fix this fundamentally broken design. I wish manufacturers would address this obvious deficiency. But they seem content to have customers make up their own DIY solutions to fix it for them.

I think the higher end stuff (like the Fanatec Rennsport V2) is pretty sturdy, but the budget stuff is a bit wonky but you pay for what you get (I suppose) 🤔

That’s why any rig that isn’t aluminum profile is a waste of time and money. Every single other type of rig I’ve seen has fundamental design flaws that results in flex and/or failure.
