I swapped out my Fanatec base for an Asetek Invicta base, and Asetek round wheel. Then I got a Cube Controls GT V2 wheel because I found the Asetek wheel to be too skinny. But all in all I still miss my old Clubsport RS wheel 😅 It is just such a perfect ergonomic shape for all kinds of racing, and 320mm is the perfect size. If it had a few rotary encoders or thumb encoders it would have been ideal and I would actually have spent the time to get an adapter for my Asetek base for it.

Dd+ and mclarengt3 are amazing for me right now! Ordered this during all of the issues because i only go by my own experience. Im so damn happy I did because its the best wheelbase ive ever used. Guys its better then the simucibe sport. Not even joking you can feel the details faster and it somehow feels stronger? Its crazy. That 6.2nm/ms is absolutely fantastic which btw is invecta level! The simicube ultimate which is 3k dolalrs is said to be 9nm/ms but its been tested to be around 6.3 also! So tere you go. Things a monster feels like 22nm not 15nm. See fanatec used to go by the spikes like the dd1 is 20nm with its spikes its holding was 15nm. Well the spikes on the dd+ has gone near 25nm. This is what most brands call there peak which isnt true conpanies need to stop using the spikes as there peak. Becausw if we went by that with these it would be closer to 25nm. It is hands down the most detailed and strongest 15 to 20nm wheelbase on the market. Period.

I got this wheel as well. It's fantastic and feels great. I also ordered the paddle module and QR2 to be installed next week

I have Porsche 918 RSR wheel which i think is what this wheel originally was and it's still serving me well after 3 years although it uses old qr1 that cant be upgraded to qr2 but has extra rumble motors inside the wheel which i believe this one does not.

Afaik the dd+ isnt limited by the qr2 lites so you can use the wrc wheel and maclaren at the full 15nm

The wrc wheel is, not the qr2 lite. It's even mentioned in the shop description. The wrc wheel is max 8nm.

@@aubreycolemanracing yes you can choose to have the qr2 lite on the wrc wheel (I have it) and yes it will go to the full 15nm on the clubsport DD+. The grand turismo edition of the DD+ even comes with a qr2 lite and states it works to 15nm. So a wrc wheel or a mclaren GT3 wheel with the qr2 lite will work at the full 15nm of force. Idk if we are getting wires crossed but I'm just posting for clarity.

It's not the qr2 thats the problem, the wheel base knows when the wheel is being used, and limits to 8nm.@@killrockstartv

Thanks for the review! Do you think the ClubSport RS will be too heavy for the GT DD Pro wheel base 8 Nm? Have you already tried it with the DD Pro? I just ordered the DD Pro base 8 Nm with the CS RS wheel and i am waiting for the QR1 to be again in stock. I am also thinking if I should ordered the DD+ for 400€ more…What do you think? ✌🏻

The clubsport rs should still be fine for the dd pro, I didn't use it with the csl dd though, but it doesn't seem too heavy. Also it's definitely worth upgrading to qr2. There is still movement in the qr1, but with the bolt it's okay.

You are right about the QR2, but then it will cost 150€ more and the difference between this setup and the DD+ will be just around 350€ , that’s my dilemma 🙂 I play only on PS5 and I had a Thrustmaster T150 for 4 years now. I also don’t want to upgrade so quick. How long have you used the CSL DD until the upgrade?

I got this wheel recently. The only problem is when you are in VR it's hard to hit the bottom half of the buttons because it's so far down from your hands. An F1 style wheel is better in VR.

Not a hope I'd use a f1 wheel in vr with the older cars, rally or drifting. Buttons I got used to.

How’s ur dd plus so far. I just ordered today. Worried I’ll get a bad unit with coil whine.

Don't worry about that out of 60k units only some complaints. People forget how much fanatec sells so seeing those complaints aren't as big as people think. But everyone made such a big stink about customer service that they now were forced to save face.
