I totally forgot about this game. Been playing GT7, AC, and ACC all in VR. I remember I really liked it and it worked really well in VR so now I'm updating it and also installing it to my Steam Deck for on the go racing. Let's hope they work on the multiplayer because that's what I primarily play. I've got a 2 year sub to iracing but have yet worked up the courage to go online even though I have tons of sim driving experience.

how do you fix the rear end being stiffer than a go-kart (no suspension)? if I go over any (semi-considerable) bump, the rear end starts to hop and I spin out. I'll accept that I'm running standard physics and not the CM physics, but if there is a set-up solution, please help.

Hi I'm trying to drive this car and it says Anti stall and I can't drive it. It tells me to push the clutch but once I let go of it, it goes back into Anti stall help me

Oh, my bad. I confused Automobiilista 2 with Auto Modelista... Different titles, just a bit similar. I thought this was somehow a sequel to AM which left me confused as AM had cel shaded graphics and Gran Turismo sound effects. 😅

Genuinely amazed that the AI made it into your positives list. Their comparative difference between performance levels across not only different classes, but also different tracks while using the same settings is nothing short of frustrating. Even if you do get them to the correct level in terms of lap times, the disparity in their speed in various parts of the track to the player is at best laughable and at worst chaotic. The human community is better than you’ll find in most sims, but this is likely due to the fact that it is so niche, were it to expand then I’m sure the quality would also suffer so it’s a bit naive to suggest a ranked system would suddenly make it the best sim ever 🤷♂️

Compared to the ai in other sims, AMS2's ai is consistently good, and getting better. There are lot's of ai mods out there for AMS2, with some of the skin packs.

Im only coming from a g29. Been on the fence between gtdd and the G pro for literally over a month. Just purchased the GTDD 8nm and am very anxious on if it’ll be “enough” for me even though i have no experience. I play mainly gt7 rn and just wanted a DD wheel to really get into sim racing.

If your only mainly playing gt7, the 8nm will be great. But you will absolutely get more out of your wheel if you use it for pc sim racing. The detail in pc sims are WAY better than gt7. Don''t get me wrong. I still love to play gt7!

Been sim racing for 10 years. AMS2 is the best sim racing game ever made for me. I still have AC cos I love hillclimbs and you can download a million of them. If AMS2 finally supports modding completely, AC is finished.

Yes, you can play from behind view, not sure why you would. And yes, AMS2 is a great sim with ai drivers. Although I've never played with Steam off-line though.

I agree 100% . Amazing after all these years. One of the only game for racing real 24h races with dynamic weather, real time, possibility to race with AI copilots, ... And not speaking of the thousands fantastic mods available (BTCC, WEC, GT3, formula one, Prototypes, ...) As Grand Prix Legends, I will never desinstall this game. Thanks for sharing

You could try turning down damping in fanatec software, but if you have over each setting in fanatec, it tells you exactly what it does.

I don't remember it being a problem but try your dd in compatibility mode (yellow) I think. Did you install all the mods as it asked you to install 1 by 1. I remember it being like a multiple choice in cmd.

This or the DD1 podium base qr2 ? Cause both same value. Csl is 15nm consistent torque and dd1 is 20nm but peak torque

You won't be driving at 20nm anyway, also fanatec will implement "fullforce" which is like logitechs true force, which should greatly increase fidelity, when they release it.

I don't remember really, but lower front slightly, 0.18 toe on front, stiffen front swaybar a bit, maybe try a bit more negative front camber. You can try and find best shock setup, with spring rate, bumpstop etc.

Yes you can, it's not the best movement, but you can find your bind key for cinamatic cameras and you can hit ctrl k to move the camera around a bit.
