Family Quits the 9 to 5 to Live & Travel in an Off Grid School Bus Conversion

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This inspiring couple quit their 9-5 jobs to live & travel in a DIY off grid school bus conversion with their two young kids in New Zealand.
Andy, Amber, Jake, and Daisy now travel full-time in their converted skoolie and we have to say, it's one of the best conversions we've seen yet. Especially considering it was a DIY project by two people who had little building and construction experience.
One of the reasons they decided to hit the road as a family was because the 9-5 grind was too stressful, and the cost of living in Auckland was very high. They were paying approximately $3000 NZD on rent each month.
By reducing their expenses and living in a bus, they were able to quit both of their jobs and develop a few small revenue streams to support their lifestyle, including a KZread channel and a Patreon page.
They plan to homeschool their kids on the bus.
You can check out Bus Life NZ here:

We hope you enjoyed learning about this adventurous family's quest to live a simple life and to give their kids the best experiences they can.
Thanks for watching!

I watched them on Ben Fogel last night, well I was absolutely amazed and the freedom you’re children have is a mother’s dream to be able to have a different view of your surroundings everyday. I am going to follow suit, you Two are amazing so so proud of you 2, and your children are so well behaved, especially from living in a small space you would think they will be little critters lol but they weren’t, their upbringing is in their eyes, they are happy as. Btw I’m a kiwi too

We did this in 2001-2002 in the States. Two kids, three cats and us. We bought a Class C Winnebago, as time was of the essence, and we towed our Land Rover Discovery behind us. 35 states, 3 Canadian Provinces, 19 national parks. After that it was time to find a good home where schools were good for the kids. Best of luck.

Hi everyone, I am James M Cantu from Malibu in California, U.S.A, with a Facebook profile bearing the name..... James M Cantu and a username of cantujames, My American Email Contact is...jamesmcantu1@gmail.com I want to share a testimony with every one on how God used a man named Dr Christopher to help me in retrieving my once lost love i was in love with someone down African whom i meet in Facebook and right now both me and my love partner are now living happy again. but meanwhile it all began when a beautiful happy relationship, living happily but suddenly i did not know what happened my love partner started developing hatred towards me, one day which was on Monday 4/7/2015. my love just came back from work and told me that first thing, tomorrow morning i am living your house and i was so shocked and i was so surprised because i did not remember offending her in anyway, i did not know what to do next i decided to plead with her but she insisted not to see me around her again, so the next morning she parked her things out and told me that she is living, i pleaded with her and ask him to forgive me if i have wrong her unknowingly but she never agreed with me, Honestly i love this lady so much that even she left my house i was still calling her cell phone but there was no response from her.so that was how we brooked up but i still love this her so much i have been looking for solution on how to get her back for years, one day i was going through the internet when i saw how great Dr Christopher help a Lady in getting back her once lost loved back, so i decided to contact him because i have been looking for help for years just to get him back, when i contacted him i told him everything and he told me not to worry that my love will be back in just 2 days i did not believe him at first because i said how could you just bring back somebody that has gone for 2 years, he said that is very possible that he is the one that is going to do it that i should not worry that my love will be back in just 2 days that he promise, so i said okay then he told me what to do, in the next 2 days after he said that, which was on Sunday morning on the 23/12/2017, I heard a knock on my door, honestly i wasn't expecting to see her calls on my phone let alone seeing her in the front of my door step, that was how i opened the door and i saw her, she knee before me and started pleading, begging me to forgive her, i was so shocked and was full of surprises and at the same time filled with happiness and i accepted her without wasting anytime because i love her so much, and we celebrated the Christmas and the New Year together and now we are living happily and even thinking of getting married. Thanks be to you the great Dr Christopher for helping me. In case you want to thank him for me or you need his help, you can also contact him through his private Whatsapp Number ...+2349071431719, Email: drchristophergujuguju@gmail.com Once again thank you for your time.

Currently converting an 85 gmc to an off road/ boondocking bus. Stripped skirting battery box and entry steps out so its frame up floor for ground clearance. Now if i could loose the differential and that low pumpkin. Also moving the rear door to the rear passenger corner so as to make room for the full sized bead. Entry door will be a gull wing and drop down door that carries the entry steps. The best times are found off road.

Thanks for highlighting such a wonderful family. I've been following them since Andy started the conversion. Their subscriber count has exploded over the year. These fine people should have their own TV show instead of The Lardassians. Their videos showcase the beauty of New Zealand 🇳🇿. I've really enjoyed watching the kids grow up. I feel like I know them personally. Just watch some of their videos & you'll be hooked too.

Love your story. What a wonderful blessing to have the time to spend with your children. We are empty nesters and looking back we see how fast our kids grew up. We too are a close family, but oh how much nicer it would have been to do this! Thanks for sharing your story!

robdbzgt07 we have a home, and we love it! It’s by far the best one we have ever had, and it’s all ours - we don’t ha e to pay rent to live in it and the bank doesn’t own 90% of it. It 100% OUR home 😁
