We do very little screen time in our home, but the other day, when the two little ones were napping, and my oldest (5) came to me from her short quiet time, I said hey, do you wanna see what mommy watches in the evening? She was so excited and we watched one of your videos together. Gabriell just loved the house and the chicken and all the different colored eggs. You made burgers and ate out in the garden and she asked if we could do the same, so today we enjoyed a beautiful summer evening with from scratch burgers outside with our kiddos Gabriell, Raphael and Mikaila. It was just wonderful and my daughter can't wait to sit and have some special time with me again and discover some more of your delicious meals ❤ always a joy and inspiration to see all 5he wonderful things you do for your family.

How lovely. ❤😁❤️
I was in awe watching you make all those meals. When I was pregnant I couldn’t be on my feet long, if at all from premature labor starting as early as 3 months. I don’t know where you get all your energy from creating new life while caring so graciously for your family at the same time.
I really like your stances on food, like not worrying on the occasional times you're not eating at home, and about GMO, etc., bu I also really like that you are not preachy. There's no way to be perfect for any of us but we do the best we can.
Also, your husband is so blessed by you for your service to your family.
Thank you for this balanced approach. So many people are so obsessed with eating healthy, their kids miss out on a lot of social activities like birthday parties. Physical health should be an aide to mental health, not a detriment.

Part of mental health is avoiding all parties one gets invited.😊
There's a very simple trick to keeping parchment paper from rolling up (which can be really annoying when you're handling dough). You take the parchment paper, crumple it up and then spread it out again. For me that was one of the best tricks, even when it comes to lining baking pans and such. I can only speak for our German baking paper, but I'm sure it will work with others too.

I sprinkle some water on the tray and spread it onto the whole surface so the paper gets stuck to it, but it does not get really wet.
I don't know if you noticed when you went back and watched this video, but you had water on the front of your shirt, it was in the shape of a heart, so sweet! Thanks for all the great ideas of home cooked meals 🍽🍽
Sourdough cookbook?! Yes! Can’t wait 💕
Your mastery in the kitchen is impressive! A joy to watch 🙏🍞🥩🍕
You are literally like a cooking machine. I have to over think everything and I actually hate to cook. So to watch you so effortlessly do what you do in the kitchen amazes me!!! All the while, usually holding a baby, with your beautiful children around you, I so admire you!!! Your mother must have taught you and your sisters well. I don't know what you have for siblings, but wonder if you have brothers, do they cook also? How did you learn to do it all??? I think a big part of it, is loving what you do. Thank you for sharing your recipe ideas. Your family is so blessed to have you as a mother and also your dear husband for a father!! God Bless your family!

Lisa, you are an absolute wonder..... you really are...... those pizzas looked so delicious! I can just imagine your family loving a day out at the pool & you coming home & thinking, "I've got this, dinner is DONE!" No better feeling as a mom.......then, the kids have such fun at the pool, are exhausted & eat, wash up & fall in to bed. The BEST! : )

I love your content, and I'm a homemaker as well, but only a few years in with 2 little people. My 3 year old daughter was "helping" wash the dishes while I had this episode playing on the windowsill in front of us, and she asked me if this happened a long time ago, and if you drive a car. We live a very similar lifestyle, so it caught me off guard, but I think it was the fact that you used a match to light your stove. 😉 Three year olds don't miss anything 😃

I'm glad you're going to be using grams in your recipes, it's nice to have very specific measurements when learning a recipe, but I also love how simple and no-fuss your recipes are! It's nice not always need a scale, and you're one of the few bloggers I follow who still uses cups. I hope you will not take away the cups when you add the grams!

So excited for your cookbook, Lisa! You made sourdough so simple and doable for someone like me who struggles to be precise with cooking and baking. God Bless your beautiful growing family!
Wonderful ideas! The dough is my obsession. It makes me so relaxed because it reminds me of my youth.
Very excited about your cookbook coming out! Also quick idea about sauerkraut: i am from Eastern Europe where it is a staple. We add whole peppercorn and bayleaf in addition to the caraway seed. Some also add a whole dried chili pepper. I think the bay leaf helps preventing browning of the cabbage.

We spatchcocked a couple turkeys couple years back , two different occasions and they cooked great. It was like a one pot dinner for us with the veggies like you've done in this video. I add sausage to my meatballs and don't have to season with the extras. I also put them in the oven. One time I made enough meatballs to be able to freeze and reheat later. Makes for quick pasta dinners put together.
Just yesterday I was thinking how I would love to have your cookbook on my countertop! Now I can! So excited to be able to buy it!
