This is the first episode of family guy I’ve ever seen and it’s still hilarious. The final part with Dallas always cracks me up

This is probably one of my favorite Family Guy episodes. It’s got the classic animation style, the jokes are all funny, and they do some decent stuff with the apocalypse setting. Also the dialogue with Twinky’s parents sounded so natural, almost like a real biography XD

For anyone who wasn't alive back then, this episode was based off of the Y2K scare that terrified the world from 1999 to 2000. They worried that computers' infrastructure would be unable to correctly distinguish dates (since they only showed the last two digits of each year, making 2000 and 1900 impossible to tell apart), and this would lead to a massive infrastructure collapse, which would've also included nukes going off. Thankfully, we all awoke to absolutely nothing on January 1, 2000.

To be fair, Y2K was a legitimate issue that involved computers not being programmed to roll over the millennium, but those were easily fixable with patch updates, and it definitely wouldn’t involve everything breaking and all nukes firing for some reason.

@@TheKisj Papa Has A Rollin' Son (The end when he has enough) Joe's Revenge. There's others but those are pretty good. The ending to the episode peter and the guys get thrown into southern jail. The episode the guys plane gets taken over.

Damn, this is the first family guy episode I ever watched, when my parents finally allowed me to watch it lol. I love this episode.

You know the cutaway gags don't seem to be forced and are even hilarious

Then Peter went on to form the NPR (The New Petoria Republic)
