Brian's speech was kind of beautiful. For once he wasn't a douche. That's the reason that this is one of my favourite episodes.

Ikr it's so tranquil.

This is one of my favorite moment. Stewie was about to with other but instead he sit in one place and comfort Brian.

Family Guy can be moving at times.

I know it's not the point of the scene, but for what it's worth the other playwrights are just as miserable as he is inside. Any successful artist - and particularly writer - struggles from the same intense lack of self-identity. I suppose that's what makes this episode so great

Brian isn’t supposed to be “a reflection of seth” at all, it’s just mainly his fursona that has his voice but it’s NOT supposed actually be him.

poor Brian ... usually it is Brian who helps others and especially his best friends Stewie and Peter, this is one of the few times that Stewie is helping her best friend Brian, their friendship is unique and magnificent, they are the best characters!

Brian should have been happy and a good friend to Stew. He should be happy they can help and learn from each other as writers, Stew success doesn't cancel his.

What a moron, Brian didn't ask Stewie to do shit, he was just honest with him and acknowledged that Stewie will always be better at the one thing Brian spent his life chasing. He just expressed how much it sucks that he will be forced to live his short lifespan in the shadow of his friend greatness. Stewie did what he did out of his own free will because he cares more about helping Brian enjoy the life he has than overshadowing his best friend with his innate talent

I think it’s an honest thought that believe it or not a lot of people feel that they just don’t want to admit sometimes. Everyone wants to feel special I don’t care who you are. It’s definitely selfish to not want someone else succeed where you couldn’t but it’s definitely realistic to life.

Brian could just learn from Stewie instead of dragging him down. I'd love to live in the same house as a great writer to pick their brains. If you're the smartest person in the room you're in the wrong room.

Everybody talkin about the speech and whether Stewie or Brian were justified in their fight but nobodys talking about the MASSIVE RANDOM ASS PTERODATCYL THAT LITERALLY GRABBED THEM AT THE END OF THE EPISODE XD

What was the point of that? To shit all over Brian and that’s it show how great Stewie is? Don’t get me wrong, I love both of the characters but all this did was show Brian can’t do anything, is worthless, and the one thing he wants to be good at HAD to be shattered so that Stewie could be raised on an even higher pedestal. Close minded fool, its been already established for a long time that Stewie is a prodigy, a genius and better than Brian when it comes to smarts and creativity. The point of the scene and the episode was to show that despite all of that, Stewie prefers to renounce all the recognition he could otherwise get for his innate talent in order to not overshadow his best friend and make him feel like crap as a result, because he cares more about Brian enjoying the short life he has than being praised and taking the spotlight. Also, Brian kinda deserved to be brought down a bit because he started acting like a douche and condescending when his play was praised in Quahog, and laughed at Stewie for thinking he could write a play like him, which is also part of it

For Brian, the lowest common denominator is the easiest public to please. And I'm sure he'd be fine being a mediocre writer, as long as people like his work. That's why being a success in Quahog is the most he'll ever accomplish. Also, if he wants to be shown some respect outside Quahog, he should at least be honest about the quality of his work, and stop pretending he's a big shot.
