***********ROCKY CREEK HOMESTEAD****************
After battling Psoriasis for years, I discovered the power of quality food and its positive impact on my skin condition. This sparked my desire to raise my own quality food. So come along with our Family as we transition from urban living to small self sustaining family farm. Learn from both our successes and failures in hopes it may inspire others to try new things. We entered into this journey with no prior experience and hope to provide many laughs and learning experiences. We learned most of how to do what were doing from watching others and hope to be able to provide a similar learning opportunity to anyone else who may benefit from this. Thank you for coming along with us on this journey and we hope it is enjoyable for you and your family.

Stan, your channel has been so imperative to our success on the homestead....your videos taught us how to butcher chickens! Glad you are prioritizing your family, we are eager to continue to get updates from your homestead as you have the time!

Thank you for that! Things are slowly settling and actually hope to do chickens for processing again this summer. If only the days were 36 hour long 😆

Thank you. I’ve missed being away but sometimes that’s what’s needed. Kiddos getting sick is definitely something we’ve been dealing with too. Wishing you all the best as you are trying to juggle the balance game as well.

I'm pleased to see you didn't let the pressure crush you, that you used wisdom in choosing what is best for your family. May life continue to improve as well as your faith. It's when we think we are the powerhouse that we start stumbling. Give the power back to the God to which it belongs. Bless you and your family.

Thank you and you’re very right. I certainly have a greater peace turning much of the burdens or concerns over to god. The men’s ministry / bible study I’ve been attending the last couple of months has been a great help as well. Thank you for your words and support.

Stan, thanks for sharing your journey of prioritizing the things in your life that are important. All that you shared is part of homesteading and being able to make it all happen. There are times in life when we all need to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first so that we can be of help to those around us. Glad you saw the need to do that and then took the necessary steps to actually make it happen. Just know that you're not alone in your journey as all of us have been in similar situations and, for me, it has been my faith and trust in God that has gotten me/us through. Sorry to hear about Big Momma...I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision but you know it was the best decision. I'm thinking the newer pig should just be Bubba??

Thank you buddy. I appreciate the emails you’ve sent over the months as well. Sorry I haven’t been as responsive as I had been. I appreciate you sharing your perspective and what you all have been doing as well. I have found a greater peace in getting reconnected at church again. The men’s ministry group I’ve been participating with and studying with has been an awesome group as well. It’s been great having others to lean on and share with. Big Mama was a unique pig and will certainly be missed. I’m at peace with my decision with her though as I am confident it was the right decision. Appreciate you buddy and hope all of your transitions go okay as well.

Hi Stan! I am glad to see you are doing well. I am sorry about Big Momma. It is so hard to lose a pet. I don't know where I would be without my faith, my church and my faith family. It is just my husband and I, no children. We wanted children, but it didn't happen for us. That is ok because God has given us so many "children" at church to be spiritual parents to it is amazing!! God is so good and loving!! I pray for you and your family to have discernment and wisdom to make the hard decisions and the every day decisions. I pray peace and strength for your life. Hugs and love from my family to yours! 💞🙏

Thank you for sharing and for your support. Without a good foundation a structure will collapse and the same applies to the family. I used to be active in church, but allowed the busyness of life allow me to stray. It’s been great making it a priority again
