This is so 80s that it's starting to look like a Wasteland remaster

I'm always amazed by how much a good weather & lighting overhaul does to modernize New Vegas' atmosphere. Combine that with a good landscape and architecture retexture and the game can really rival some modern AAA rleases. Personally I prefer the subtler touch with Desert Natural Weathers, Poco Beuno and Legacy Reborn. But this combo is absolutely gorgeous!

The two are the only ones that can compete between each other, and while Skyrim clearly has the advantage on the gameplay front, New Vegas still takes the cake when it comes to Questing and New Lands mods.

Wow Vehicle mods have come a long way, it’s surreal seeing them working so well in a Fallout world. I remember back around 2015 they were still really jank and had constant collision problems. The new ones look buttery smooth compared. I never though they’d be able to get past collision problems and yet here we are, finally able to play as Mad Max.

lol even with all of the mods available to them to be able to incorporate it all, they STILL wouldn't be able to do that! Look at FO76... THEY STILL HAD ALL OF THE SAME FREAKING BUGS IN IT THAT FO4 DID ON LAUNCH DAY, ESSENTIALLY!!!!! Even though mods have been out for YEARS that fixed ALL of those issues/bugs/etc!!! They could have just grabbed those mods, seen how they did it, and then coded in all of the fixes (etc). But Bethesda is SO FREAKING MORALLY BANKRUPT AND SO SHITTY that they could not even do THAT SIMPLE THING!!!!

Game: "You do not have any companions." Player: "Who needs companions when I have a car."

I feel like at this point we're due for a Doom Eternal combat mod for New Vegas

Actually gives me vibes of a book series called Deathlands. More or less Fallout the book series including having mutants, warlords, bunkers, mad scientists, and an insane amount of gun porn including slightly alt-history weapons and future tech weapons. The real difference between it and Fallout is its more 80s action movies right down to big busted heroines rather then 50s ray gun scifi.

Some people just like it to be like COD. I think its fine. I didn't mod it like that, but its their games. Bethesda is just being safe not only for their investors but also to reach the largest audience possible. The reason oblivion and morrowind were fucking amazing bethesda-wise was because Bethesda catered to a niche group of people who like quirky lil roleplaying games that have good writing.

All of the inspections pop up such as ammo count, conditions, weapon type damage and CARS, etc plus the aiming vats system was perfect too imagine they add all of that in fallout new vegas 2 or the remastered in far future

Awesome compilation! Modding in NV has come to great place. The cars mechanics have improved a lot. NV was meant to be driven considering that almost all the map is flat or almost flat.

Certain parts of the hud strongly gave me nostalgia of playing half life 2 on original xbox.

What a gun build feels like

Really wish I could do this, but for some reason my PC dies when I try to mod older games. New games work fine but using ENBs on older Bethesda titles make my PC run like crap

It's because ENBs were never really meant for live, in-motion gameplay. It's a jury-rigged solution and as a result, poorly optimized. Layering that on top of a Bethesda game is like putting soggy bread on a soggy sandwich.

ENBs tend to be really performance heavy. I've found using Reshades to be better. Also using in engine overhauls will run better than an ENB, if done competently.

Usually its something to do with fallout the frontier. Check the Fallout the frontier page and check its incompatibilities. If you have hud mods it can fuck shit up. For example, IHud worked for me, an 10 something year old mod. While another hud mod that replicated it just cleaner, did not work for me. A 2 year old mod. Always worth checking Loot for any incompatibilites, dirty plugins, etc. If you also have an old version of FO:TF, it had different HUD i believe. So a newer version of the Chysalis Highwayman or Garage In the Wasteland (or a mod something along those lines) may make it incompatible.
