During the credits of episode 8, it opens to a billboard advertising cryo suites at the Tops Hotel & Casino. My theory is that Moldaver must've gotten a spot in one of these cryo pods in New Vegas. While it may not be one of those cryo pods, she for sure had to be inside of one somewhere. There's simply no other way for her to still be around.

Vault 4, the one with the scientists also had cryo tubes. She is also revered as the flame mother by those residents which is still unexplained. I believe these are linked. Vault 4 was also very close to Sandy Shores. If survived in one of those tubes, it would make sense that when they woke her and left the vault, that she was one of those who sought to build a city, that just happen to become the CRN and their first major city. Then after it was bombed the remaining survivors moved back to those who remained in the vault. Then began that wierdo blood ritual with her as the savior/cult leader. She did have history working with Vault tec, and was a scientist~ Why she would get back in bed with vault tec to be frozen is still a question though.

My original theory as someone who played alittle of the games and mostly watched the show-can she not be a ghoul “deghoulified”? When The Ghoul got captured and found her Wanted poster he made a comment that stuck with me “she didn’t look like that the last time I saw her” but I mean, she looks relatively the same between flashbacks and current besides being older. Was this just to say she was from the past or, something more?

I was under the impression that the doctor figured out the cold fusion and didn't want to let the enclave have it because he'd seen how morally messed up they were. I understood it as why he got into the argument with his lab partner to begin with.

I think he did discover cold fusion (it shows him performing experiments during cx404’s life as she got older). But I think the argument with the other scientist was because wilzig had cx404. Her cubby was left open and the scientist saw her and wilzig didn’t want the scientist to pull the alarm. And I think wilzig left to save cx404, but ultimately took the cold fusion with him to buy himself a life outside the enclave via muldaver.

Whenever they show the big wimpy dude(Chet) from Lucy's vault I only see a potential future super mutant.

Moldaver says that vault-tec bought could fusion as well as other companies so I bet she also developed cryostasis and had a prototype pod laying around she used or something.

I don’t think thed is becoming a ghoul. I think they just don’t understand what’s happening. I think it might be the early stages of becoming a super mutant but that’s just my theory

That's what my son and I thought immediately. And it makes sense - Thadeus and Maximus don't know about super mutants and Lucy doesn't know anything, so this was clearly just a wild guess.

Why do people keep saying Vault Tec dropped the bombs? All that was established in the show is they were willing to do so

Even if they stated they were willing to go as far as that, that's doesn't mean Vault-Tec actually did since Mr House stated in New Vegas that he was 1 day off from getting the Chip when the bombs dropped. If he was in the meeting, he would know when the bombs dropped but he did not.

It's canon that China dropped the first bombs. Yes, Vault-Tec was willing, but there's plenty of evidence that they didn't directly do it themselves, even in the show. If Barb knew when the bombs would drop, would she let her daughter be at a birthday party with her dad that day and not in a Vault?

Hank dropped a nuke on Shady Sands. Unless he somehow found a military nuke and found all of the information he needed to use it, he must've already known how to get access to more Vault Tec nukes. Hopefully they go into more detail on season 2.

It doesn't make much sense for the NCR to be completely destroyed since several large cities were part of the NCR by the time of New Vegas. According to the show, Shady Sands had a population of 34,000 but the NCR already had a population of 700,000 by the time of Fallout 2. Even if the NCR central government was destroyed, the other cities that were part of the NCR would still be major powers. There's the Hub, which is the center of commerce for Southern California. And the Hub is the reason why people use bottle caps as money since the water traders are centered there and they started at a water bottling plant and repurposed the bottle caps as currency. There's Vault City, a city built by Vault Dwellers on top of their Vault. They're technologically advanced and highly educated. There's New Reno, basically a mini Vegas that has booze, gambling, entertainment, and drugs. There's Dayglow, the Followers of the Apocalypse started there. They have a lot of scholars, scientists, and doctors who build schools and hospitals across the Wasteland to try to educate people to rebuild civilization. There's San Francisco, founded by survivors from a Chinese nuclear submarine. They have a lot of advanced weapons technology. They're also researching a way to create plants that can consume radioactive material to make highly irradiated areas suitable for human habitation.

Todd already confirmed the NCR will return, and I'm going to bet they're not going to be as diplomatic as they normally are with the loss of their first capital and 1 of their 5 states. Even without Sands, they're still THE single largest faction in the wasteland, so yeah it wouldn't make any sense that the other 4 states, and over 2 dozen territories, would all just crumble due to 1 nuke. The writer of the show also already confirmed they've set up a new capital since the Sands nuking, but he wouldn't say where. I'm gonna guess Vault City, but New Reno would pull it closer to New Vegas in terms of location.

I believe the legion won and the defeat encouraged others to turn against the ncr seeing them as weak, it would explain why the fall of shady sands was in 77, which is when the first battle of Hoover damm happens

Far out theory. Charles Whiteknife, played ball and got into 15. After the war him or his descendants founded Shady Sands near where Moldevar was in stasis. His descendants are Aradesh and Tandi. They had some generational plan to revive Moldevar and rebuild the wasteland

We even see everyone in Vault 33 cleaning up their own vault. It's not that big of a stretch for the 31ers to have done the same thing in Vault 32 🤷🏻‍♂️. Also, you're just assuming it happened overnight. Considering Lucy never returns to the vault, it's possible more time passed 🤷🏻‍♂️. Which would give them a day or so to clean things up and smash the terminals. There's nothing saying it was that fast.

9:42 So I've never played the games but started to after watching the show and then learning bits of the lore from my boyfriend (currently playing New Vegas), he and I discussed that the medicine the Ghoul might be taking may perhaps be RadAway. If you were to go into the Repconn Facility's Lab where the non-feral Ghouls are you'd find a lot of RadAways. I do understand what he's taking is not in a pouch but in a bottle, just an hypothesis plus the recognizable color of RadAway.

Vault Tec didn't hide cold fusion. They used it multiple times in the G.E.C.K.'s that were put in a ton of vaults. It's actually one of the things that originally created Shady Sands. So, I'm assuming Moldaver was trying to get a hold of another after losing the original, during the bombing and the Enclave having it is because they're a partner/secret division of Vault Tec. As far as we know (or at least theorized), is that the Enclave was comprised of world leaders and worked with Vault Tec to assure the leaders were led to their vaults before the bombs were dropped, to continue an "over-ruling government" after the apocalypse. So them having cold fusion wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. As that would've almost definitely been a controlled vault, with a G.E.C.K., if not multiple G.E.C.K.s just for shits and gigs for after the apocalypse, to set up multiple locations with ease. Also, Hancock from 4 became a ghoul from an unknown drug. So, also not a random coincidence either.

The enclave and vault-tec didn’t hide cold fusion very well. Now that the Brotherhood has the beryllium agitator they already cold started their fusion reactor, and it hates communists. I hope Liberty Prime shows up in season 2 constantly throwing shade.

I want to know how Maximus survived in that fridge when there is a vent in the back of it you can literally see through and they use a camera angle so you can see this clearly. No way that was stopping radiation. Not seen anyone else mention this yet. I really think he's a synth like the Shaun one at the end of fallout 4 considering he was a child when found.

"...kill off another another character from LOST..." Yo, i got so hyped when i saw Michael Emerson in the show! I messaged my sister like, "I didn't know Ben Linus was in this!" She was a few episodes ahead of me... 20 minutes later I messaged her, "Oof, -1 foot." Twenty minutes after that i sent the, "-1 head." She was waiting for that and laughed and laughed. Micheal Emerson is fantastic and played that role so well. My prediction for season 2 is that Cooper tracks his family down to Vault 0. I know it was ejected from the cannon but it would fit perfectly into this show. Vault 0 was where data from all the other vaults was sent in order to plan the perfect new society, which is now what Vault-tec was trying to do. Cooper's wife said she was trying to get them into a monitoring vault, which is exactly what Vault 0 is. Cooper's daughter could be in cryostasis in there along with the Vault-tec higher ups and maybe his wife is one of those brains hooked up to the Calculator.

The Brotherhood F4 ending is not yet cannon! The Institute and Railroad endings not happening could mean they left the CW because someone else (Minutemen) did the job for them.

Hank is going to NV for House and/or the vault in NV

Why would Vault 33 split into Vault 32 if they had a damaged water chip with only two months of water left? Was it to give Vault 33 more time with half the people? Maybe they took Vault 32's water chip and left them to die? Its not a plot hole because theres a lot of logical answers but you would think they would have Talked about it way more.

It’s also possible that The Enclave had no idea Wizzy Boy obtained the cold fusion tech. If it were really something that they knew about, why would they let some random scientist carry it around? And why would he feel the need to conceal it in his skull? The idea that the Enclave had any clue falls apart under scrutiny.

If maldaver was frozen for all that time, how come EVERYBODY knows her?

Why is no one talking why there are different colors of ghouls? The Ghoul is red, there's a white ghoul and others are grey?

I will never get why they made SINCLAIR related to Big Mt... why not have just have him be Dr. Klein or Boros? Boros would so love to kick the crap out of the Reds.

If Moldaver had something to do with creating ghoulism and maybe could figure out a cure.. could she have figured out how to negate the negative side effects so as to be immortal? I mean, thaddeus doesn't look like a ghoul. We only know he took something random. Maximus said he thought he might be a ghoul, but maximus doesn't actually seem to know much of anything. Like, if Moldaver has some kind of Chem that makes her immortal, that could explain how "everyone knows Moldaver" and why she's got that crazy ass cult.. like, what about her makes her such a badass? Unless she's unkillable

the crazy guy that give the chem thing to Thadeus, used the word SERUM, serums are mutations, it dosnt make u ghoul, but a human with a mutation, those apear in fallout 76 and were created by the Enclave, fallout 76 happends like 200 years before the show. The crazy guy is refered as serum doctor if i recall correctly on the netflix character notes. So bassically Thadeus now haves "Healing Factor" mutation wich grants u bassically wolverine healing power but any chems/drugs arent as efective on you, u can look it up, there are a bunch of mutations, even one that makes you jump super high, mutations can be cured with just radaway. Also lucy makes a reference to f76 with "what about the reclamation day" wich was vault 76 thing, opening the vault 10 years after the bombs.

@@nightmarextreme4371technically I think every fault had its own “reclaimation day” it was all different times. 76s just happened to be first. 33s “scheduled” day wasn’t really a specific date or time frame. Just “whenever the surface is clean enough” based on estimates Hank says it would be when gooseys kids are old enough. But at the end, bud/norm said it could still be hundreds of years. The rest I agree with but reclamation day isn’t strictly a 76 thing

my best guess for how moldaver hasn aged 200 years is that maybe she was sleeping in cryogenic chambers inside those vaults that created shady sands afterwards.

i wouldnt say thadeus is a ghoul for sure or the drug keeps them from going feral. coop was half gone when lucy asked him.. he never really answered..coop coughs and coughs without the serum... so does that match going feral?.. coops friend was already bad.. he was probably already on the verge of going feral with or without the drug. the ferals at the super duper mart would have just been given the serum if it really stops them from going feral... so, so many more questions to questions.

I think Moldaver is a synth based on an institute scientist, andfell in love on her quest to become human. No need to wake her up, just took over the mission.

I still think that the Enclave ended the world. House, Sinclair, and Barb Howard were clearly taken by surprise by the Apocalypse - but the President was already in hiding. As for New Vegas, the events of the show make the House ending the most likely, but the independent and NCR endings are still possible. The only one that doesn't work is Caesar's Legion since they are nowhere to be seen. I also suspect that Moldaver is a Synth, and Thadeus isn't becoming ghoul, but rather yet another new flavor of Super Mutant - or, possibly, a revival of the Generation One super mutants.

My two cents: I can imagine snub fighters being way more effective with the benefit of 1 additional ship in your fleet: The Carrack. So, you and your friends have, let's say 1 Starlifter for every 4 players in the party, a single Carrack, and all the furys you could ever want. You all load the Furys into the starlifter(s), and every pilot registers their respawn with the carrack's medical bed. Pilots take their seats and the starlifter(s) jump to the destination, while the carrack stays behind. You deploy however many fighters you have, and the starlifter(s) returns to the carrack's position. Your fighters may die, but they'll respawn on the carrack and can get into another fighter on the starlifter(s). Starlifter(s) travel periodically between the carrack and combat zone to deploy/pick up fighters until you win or all fighters are gone. If all the fighters lose, you're not out yet. Starlifter(s) are tanky and have 2 turrets with 2 weapons each, and 2 pilot weapons. Carrack is tanky and has 4 turrets with two guns each. That's with two starlifters, that's 16 size 4 weapons total. Formidable firepower for 3 ships that can probably run into the fight and clean up any weakened ships or stragglers after the snub fighters have all been taken out. Everyone gets to stay in the fight until the very end, and I would love to try this combat approach.

We kinda figured out vaulttech was behind everything after seeing MagaTon.

Is accepting great, gaping plot holes not part of being a Fallout fan? I mean Fallout 4 is just one huge plot hole.A story written by a drunken ape with Alzheimer's.

There is no season 2 of Fallout. Amazon has already said it cost too much money for so little interest. The eight episodes were good but it's over.☢

1. You guys censoring "god" in "goddamn" is beyond cringe. 2. The fact they literally destroyed New Vegas DOES make the game itself obsolete, as none of the choices actually mattered in the end. 3. The NCR aren't destroyed, Todd even confirmed this. We only see the Shady Sands remnants fall, the NCR spans across 5 states and over a 2 dozen territories. They're THE largest faction in the US Continental Wasteland.
