Vault Tec being at least a questionable organization has been a thing throughout the Fallout Series. Even in Fallout 2 you had the Enclave who called their followers from the Vaults, and understood a bit about the Vaults and Vault Tec Corporation protocols

You can tell it was directed by Noland, the same thing happened in his Westworld series season one. All of the little clues that were dropped throughout the episodes all fell into place perfectly.

the show caught me off guard...i really really really loved it... i love the characters Lucy, Maximus, and Lucy's brother. i thank God that we didnt get a Halo type of bullcrap.

Its perfect though it's not religious they are just using the trappings of power from a bygone age. Like saying the Swiss guard is outa pocket with their breastplates and pikes. Y'all are missing the point

Prime finally did a great job all things considered

My wife loved this show even though she’s never seen or played the games.

There was a computer terminal in vault 31. Norm has some computer skills as he had work assignment in 33's computer room, and also broke into 33's managers (Betty?) system to get to 31. So why can't he (Norm) reprogram the system to make himself the permanent manager of vault of vault 32 (which only has an "interim" manager)? He might have to first smash or "brain" the brain in a can" first. When one is told that he has only two choices, he might become very enthusiastic (Norm has said that he has been unenthusiastic about his assignments) and creative. Norm already has two allies in the newly repopulated vault 32 or ones that he can bribe.

I love that they released every episode at once. I wish all streaming services would do that. If you have to wait a week to watch the next episode and there’s one slow episode I end up forgetting ab it and move on. I finished this in 3 days and enjoyed it and want more even though I’ve never played the game.

Snip snip is the name that the Jet heads gave him. it is a med bot version of Codsworth. we meet the voice actor for that robco robot line.

Walton Goggins.. DAMN what A great actor! I didnt even recognize him until I saw him as The Ghoul! If they cast Timothy at this point, I'll be disappointed. He carries this show!!!!!! (love Justified btw, if you cant tell)

I 100% believe house is gone cause the strip is in ruins so it’s either NCR or independent Vegas or more unlikely it’s probably legion but I don’t think it will. I also think moldavers raiders are either what’s left of the NCR or just a small group left in California which I hope not.

They don't say when shady sands was nuked. It shows that shady sands "fell" in 2077, with an arrow then pointing to a mushroom cloud after the "fall", like we date the fall of Rome, but we know that parts of the empire survived well after the central empire.

If you watch the ending of episode 8 it seems to be that it was destroyed beaches of the dead machine and deathclaw skull

If Chris Nolan really is adapting the prisoner , Walter Goggins would be a great pick for lead

Gotta show the courier but it looks like a battle went down in New vegas so they probably showed up to help but were unsuccessful

It was not 50 years. Since shade sands was destroyed. Maximus was not 50+ years old. He was a child found in the ruble. Also Lucy lived there prior to its destruction and she's also not 50+.

I’m interested to see which Fallout New Vegas ending is actually canon in Season 2. Lots to think about since the show starts after Fallout New Vegas.

Maximus doesn't look like anything near 50. He was there when Shady Sands got nuked.

Ive watched a few of these recaps and i think moldaver is a ghoul but has really good rad away.😅 Probably not, but everyone that keeps saying that she was in cryo... Maybe! But she came out to build shady sands so after it got bombed she survived without being irradiated 😮. So you said shady sands was 50 years ago why are Lucy norm and Hank not older also

Shady sands can’t be nuked 50 years ago the fallout show plays in the year 2296 thos are 9 years after fallout 4 and 15 years after fallout new Vegas where shady sands still existed not anymore as the capitol of the ncr but it still was prosperous Shady sand did have go get nuked after 2281 and before 2295

It kept me wanting more. But I genuinely don't know how long they can keep up that pace going forward. The first season was fantastic. It all came together, exactly like we had hoped it would. But the writing itself was "massive plot twist after massive plot twist..." And there's nooo way to keep that pace running for more than one more season. Maybe two more if they're literal screenwriting gods.

Not 50 years ago. We know that Lucy went to shady sands When she was a child At about age 5Which is about 15 years ago. Maybe she's 25Now and it was 20 years ago Maybe she's a bit younger

On the chalkboard in vault 4, for the school, Lucy sees the year of bombing of Shady Sands; it’s 2277. This makes it 19 years ago from the series present.

@@ladymecha8718shady sands wasn’t bombed on 2277 it was the beginning of the “fall” of Shady sands judging how at the time the NCR was stretched thin in Vegas with the First Battle of The Hover Dam resources would also be thin and that would lead to the decline of Shady Sands and Nv takes place on 2281 and the show takes place on 2296 a 15 year gap also judging how Lucy and Maximus were both young children and were IN shady sands you can kinda pin point that it was bombed somewhere around 2281-2283

Given the timeline on the chalkboard Maximus was rescued he looked to be 8-10 years old. So he'd be in his late teens in 2296.

To be completely honest, not looking forward to season 2. Being able to see New Vegas again was a treat for sure, however, the credit scene immediately killed all the excitement. Why did the NCR take the fight to New Vegas? Why did they destroy infrastructure that would've helped them generate money in the future? Why did they destroy other casinos and not Lucky 38? Where was House's laser defence system? Why Bethesda and everyone who works for them are so obsessed with destruction?

Because they want to retell successful stories from successful past games. It’s how profit works in a lot of cases such as Star Wars. So what this show did was that the writers knew that the game stories of Fallout 1, 2, and 3 sold, and were iconic to the Fallout game series, so they did a Soft Reboot where NCR gets nuked and they have to tell a story in the status quo of the earlier Fallout games. Also, Vault Tec using the nukes was hillariously bad. The nukes happened in the original Fallout games because the various economies all over the world crashed because of running out of oil and precious metals, so they got insane from their desperation and nuked each other in that madness. Cold Fusion wasn’t even a new invention in even the original Fallout games either. It’s the normal power source both in the past and present day of the Fallout games for everything from laser guns to cars and buildings.

@@evgeniygerkus9242 Well there’s two incidences of Bethesda telling similar stories with 3 and 4 just by using new locations. It helped make the world feel a bit larger too, especially with the new monsters in Fallout 4 and to a lesser extent in Fallout 3 along with the settings of Washington D.C. and Massachusetts. Of all the things about Fallout 3, that I wasn’t as impressed with, the New Location of Washington DC was not one of them.

@@AdrianFahrenheitTepes it's funny, but with each new piece of fallout content, I realise that the previous stuff wasn't bad at all. Even with the tv show, I enjoyed most of it. The acting, the humor, some of the plot twists, the pre-war story, all of it was great. The only problem I have with it is that for once, Todd didn't lie. The scriptwriters really were given complete freedom. If only they've had some of the game developers help them tell their own story in the world that they clearly don't know all that well.

Its a good story unlike the Witcher, but still they managed to instill the wokeness within... Fallout idea was based on the 50-60's society, which did not have a lot of cultural diversity, and this is in the lore... Moreover cooper's wife was a "bossbitch" which in the sixties was unheardof, and belittling cooper himself was cringy as fuck... but aside of those aspects it was a good show! Good story, good acting, well maybe not Maximus... lol

I thought the actor did a credible job on Maximus. A bullied introverted teenager with PTSD, due to the bombing of his home and loss of his parents, also he has mediocre intelligence. He is being forced along a certain path in the brotherhood and it is a role he just does not see himself fitting into. So due to that and the bullying he just appears lost. An attitude I thought the actor did a credible job portraying. Even when he gets back with the brotherhood in the end he still looks like he does not want to be there. Also lets hear your definition of Woke. I hear conservatives throw this around a lot and the only conclusion I can come up with is "anything conservatives don't like".

I find it ironic that nowadays, the public often lacks the initiative or common sense to comprehend the ending of what they are watching. Instead, they resort to seeking explanations on KZread because they are either confused or unable to work it out for themselves.
