It’s a limitation to their old and crappy game engine which they refuse to drop for Unreal 5. Unfortunately too many objects in close proximity causes FPS lag which why they have limitations on how many items you can place in a camp and why they don’t allow you to merge them without a glitch/hack. This is Bethesda after all. What do you expect? A fully working and bug free experience?😂

Great video for a one stop shop on merging. Your videos always have such a professional feel and look. I still struggle with foundation merges. I should challenge myself to an all foundation merge build. My biggest a-ha moment was when you showed the back side of the merges in the walls like the fireplace and the red computers, that is genius! Second biggest was to look at objects from the top. This was really cool and definitely going to try some of this in my camps. But really it just makes me think how all of this was easily possible in fallout 4 without having to painstakingly do these workarounds and glitches to accomplish things. I remember making some amazing settlements just by using a mod that let me place clutter objects anywhere. Even sans mods there was so much more freedom in object placement. Really don't know why they seemed to go out of their way to make object placement extra difficult in 76 camp building.
@NukaViolet

Thanks! Yes, it’s definitely way more difficult. They need to just make building in adventure mode like building in worlds.

Earned my sub! Just started playing 76 again after never really giving it a true chance, and ive been hooked. Built some really amazing bases without any building tutorials and learned to minorly break the game to allow so of the builds i have done, such as wiring going through walls and outsmarting the placement setting by replacing certain build pieces to make it how i want it to be exactly, going to be doing some base tours soon cause its honestly my favorite thing to do in the game lmao. I just made a base under the morgantown railroad and must say itd look super nice with some merging done throughout it, sad thing is i have no budget on any of my builds 😂😭

The way you give the tips is very clear and easy to understand. The first thing i tried was the light in the tv aquarium it was an instant succes. ( it looks brilliant by the way ) I do have a question is it just me or did bethesda really made the shelters almost impossible to build efficiently in ? since there rooms look so off when you set floors in them they’re measurements look so far off.

@@BlackhawkWoTConsole that’s awesome! Let me know what you’d like to see in future videos. The shelters are like Custom worlds, where you have more freedom over placement. @@NukaViolet The only problem i have is that i loose allot of my build area because the length and with of the shelter never fully get used if you build floors. Sick! This is definitely helpful, especially to someone like me who stepped away from the game more than a few times over the past year. There’s a two step merge that I’ve used which I’m not sure if builders are aware of, and if you haven’t tried it, you may want to. It allows you to stack most objects on top of each other. All you need to do is grab 2 objects that normally don’t stack, say object A for the bottom, and object B for the top. Use foundation drops to sink object A into the foundation until only a tiny bit remains visible, but you can still select/grab it. Now place object B on top in the manner you choose. Pull object A out as they are now stacked, and merge the two together as you see fit. 🎉

Been away the past 6 months, hiking on the Appalachian Trail. I Was so afraid they nerfed build techniques in that time that would prevent me from upgrading and reassembling order specific merges in my camp. Not only was it a pleasant surprise to find the old techniques still usable, but as you mentioned, I learned a new one: Foundation merging snapping to another foundation, rather than using sloped terrain. This video was not only a great refresher and visual eye candy, but I love your soothing voice and chill background music. I can't help but feel Bob Ross vibes, but with far superior production value. Haha.

That sounds so fun! I hope you enjoyed the hike. 😃👍🏼 I think building actually got better! Free cam mode is very handy, and weird to see yourself. 😂 yayyy I’m glad you learned something new! I’m glad you’re back, was thinking you left the game for a min. And thank you so much for the kind words. 💕 Bob Ross is the ASMR master! 😁
