Were you dropping an eaves video? Legit great. It's amazing to see the solutions you use to solve problems that you shouldnt have to be solving in the first place. Like a rubicks cube inside a lockbox.

P.s. I try to recess the fridges into the walls wherever possible. You dont have lots of wiggle room in this build, but the trick admittedly works best underground

Yeah i feel you on that. For a game that has a major emphasis on building and crafting. The system really sucks. It's so hard building in this game and having to glitch the system to build how you want is crazy.

Nice, hopefully bethesda doesn't patch it because it "breaks immersion", unlike those big boxy randomly textured messes people tend to place in random spots with a thousand water purifiers

Absolutely lovely. Watching you build the roof gave me ptsd flashbacks of building the eaved roof on my "east meets west" japanese cabin build that I made last year before catwalks came along to make building so much simpler. 😅

Thanks! Catwalks are pretty much the best tool we have, I just love all the stuff you can do with them!

I never thought of using flamethrowers to design things differently. Love it.

Great cabin. The eaves are fantastic. I'll definitely use those soon. I've put tools on pegboards too. If you put down the big peg board first and turn off snapping you can overlap the small ones on top to make it look like the tools are closer. You have to play with it but it will eventually work. Lol. Thanks for the great ideas. 👍

Cheers KikiB, great tutorial for roofing eaves, layered the destroyed building kit roof, n some other worn looking random pieces, ended up making a small abandoned house, also taking inspo Fraggin' Grandpa's abandoned house, still need to deck it out n add the old "Trapper special" 😂

I didn't catch the pintrest mention the first time through. That's a really good idea.

Love the vid, amazing build. Also love how the current 76 building system needs a flamethrower before anything beautiful comes out of it. :)

Wow, another gorgeous build! Really nice. I like the Responder set too, especially the roofs. But I don't really like the walls because the windows aren't "real" windows, i.e. you can't see through them. I hate having a build that feels like a cave (unless it's IN a cave, haha). And OMG I can only imagine what you can do in The Sims, so yes - please make some Sims videos!

Thank you! I originally disliked the blacked out windows as well, but later I was building up against an existing structure with the set and realized that it's actually pretty nice for stuff like that! I adore the roofs though, they are AMAZING. Sims videos it is! Yay!

It’s amazing what people do with this games home designs. I’ve been obsessed with porches after seeing this one dude watch a bomb explode in the distance while on his porch chair lol. I feel stupid organizing my game house instead of cleaning my own tho 😂

Oh man, cleaning is hard tho (for real, I have ADHD/ASD and have a cleaner because I can't manage it). I can build and decorate for hours, but my house is a disaster without help.

For anyone having trouble decorating those shelves; place it low on a "test" wall, decorate the shelf, grab the shelf and place it in the desired location on your wall. Also, a tip for the posts, sometimes when the shorter one won't attach for reasons (water, rocks, etc...) use the taller one and it will place. Not sure exactly why it works, but I've had 85% good luck with that option, sometimes it's still a solid "no."

Watch a few of you videos. I do believe I have a new favorite Fallout 76 KZreadr. Move on over Angry Turtle!!

Just a heads up, the column blueprint has changed slightly since one of the last updates. If you didn't already have it blueprinted, you now have to break the little statue with the flamethrower trap before you can snap the column on top of it. Then repair the statue and blueprint like you normally would. I'm finishing up a short video on it but it's not up yet.

I finished building and decorating and went to move onto the roof last.. watched your video and had to redo everything with what I learned. THANK YOU!!!!!!! Also, is the double wall trick possible on pc? It's the main reason I'm redoing all of it but I can't seem to get it to work..

The double wall trick works on all platforms. Make sure you're using the right wall types - doorways (barn, warehouse, brick, or metal) for full walls, and brick (broken with a flamer trap) for any half or arch pieces.

Amazing build well done 👏, how do you do the floating shelf ? Where can I get the plants you have ie: pots plants etc ? Also how do you put items down and make them stay like the plushies and Nukacola bottles etc ?

The shelf is an Atomic Shop item (utility wall shelf). Some of the plants, like the big ferns, are in-game plans which can be bought from robot vendors or obtained randomly from doing workshop quests/events; most are from the Atomic Shop. The plushies are a combination of in-game plans from events, shop items, and past scoreboards, and the Nuka Cola bottles are on a special display rack (also from the shop). The shop has a rotating selection, so you'll have to keep an eye out for the items you want.

Hello KiKi, can you show how to do the same thing for people who like to build the same but on full height of their camp please? I like to be far away from the little critters that destroy my camp, and go 3 stories up. Can it be done?

Could you not do this by using the sides and a peak roof setup for a larger overhang front sides and rear? It would be 3x4 roof for a 2x3 foundation. With a little fiddling eith the foundation height you could then use43 a half wall to fill in the gap at the tops of the wall.... IDK if this would work or nor but I thought I would ask.

You could definitely do that if you wanted to. For me, I had a really specific look in mind, so this was the only way to achieve that, but there are plenty of options for creating your own look!

I was going to try the roof you made, but the game wont let me. I only have the basic ones so when i try to replace them i cant make them flat (or the other way around). Do u know a way to work around this problem?

Unfortunately this trick only works if you have one of the Atomic Shop roof sets (any except the asbestos roofs).

this is a lot of work just for a nice roof. I don't like My flat roofs but this seems difficult

How did you merged the modular sofa? And what are the three plants above the doorframe outside?

I'll be showing the sofa trick in a new video, and the plants are atomic shop, I don't remember the exact name.

you can snap a big weapons display next to a small one snap another small one inside the big one remove the first small one and fit the pipe wrench and the drill on almost the same display

Absolutely. You can use any small floor decor object in place of the egg, and any other roof will function the same (as long as it's one with multiple types/shapes in one tab like that).

You can use the small vault girl statue, the ogua egg, or the little Blue Ridge toy truck - all of those are base game plans. Any small floor object works.

May I ask was there any atomic shop bundles stuff that is required?? I saw the finished product before viewing this and I just started playing F76. So, before I finish watching this video was there any atomic shop like house pieces that I would need to look for or what? It’d be greatly appreciated to know!!

The roofs are atomic shop (Enclave build kit), as is the wallpaper (Pallet Wood wallpaper, I think). Some of the wall pieces were previous season rewards, but I only used those for a specific style of window, so they're not essential.

I'd say the best way to find out is just to try it! Experimenting is half the fin when it comes to building. The base game metal windowed walls would also work well in this build. Oh, and I forgot, I do use atomic shop catwalks here to space the foundations more easily, and to float a staircase to use upper floors as the base instead of foundations. It can be done without, you just need to be precise with how you move the foundations around, and use foundations for the final floors instead of floating upper floors.

You can eyeball it to move the foundations the right amount, I mostly use the catwalks because it's the easiest (and the simplest for others to replicate accurately as well). But if you use the concrete foundations, moving them 1/4 of a space isn't too hard.

Catwalks are the best building glitch tool out there, they're 100% worth it.

No, definitely not. Any time you have to use weird tricks to get things to overlap, or most instances with double walls, you can't blueprint it

So I checked and you cannot double wall on PC without playing on a private world with custom settings.

I've never heard of that from anyone I know on PC - most of my Patrons are on PC and have never mentioned it either. Are you using doorway walls, and from one of the correct sets? It only works with warehouse, barn, brick, metal, contemporary, and I think log cabin. The basic wood and most of the Atomic Shop/scoreboard sets won't work, nor will solid or windowed walls. And for the half walls and arches, it only works with brick for some reason.

Where did you build that?

I wish they'd just removed all the physics for building and added a grid system that you could toggle along with the snapping you could turn on or off
