This is great. At the point I'm at in the game, I don't burn through ammo too fast. This could be really useful to me, as it's passive and can just run in the background. I'll definitely give it a try.

I would still prefer crafting ammo, the amount you get is not that high and defending the workshop is buggy, though having the vertibird as a support is kinda cool

I agree that defending is annoying but it’s passive ammo so it’s worth it for me 😁

That's a lot of work for such a little bit of ammo. With the right perk cards and legendary card you can make crazy amounts of ammo. I use one char and trasnfer ammo to my other 3 who use guns. I never have an issue with running out.

Yeah, get the right perks, some excavator power armor. Pop down to lucky hole mine to gather an unreasonable amount of lead, and then bam! People can call you bullet farmer like you're in Mad Max: Fury Road.

This was just what I was looking for! Every other video I've watched on this subject had uploaders who wouldn't shut up about being level 50 or using legendary perk cards. That's not a beginner, damnit! I quit playing recently because I ran out of ammunition for my automatic rifles too quick. I'm only level 20 and just found a Tommy Gun but hardly used it because ammunition goes so fast with a 50 round magazine. I'm going to try this before I start begging really high level players for free ammunition. Thanks, mate. 🤙 @Irradiated1

@@Irradiated1 you could, but should you? You have to defend it and you doesn't make a whole lot. You end up using more then get when you defend it. See a long time ago you could blue print the ammo maker and have like 20 of them on the roof. Then it would make a lot. Also if you don't check it often it can get damaged by npc and stop producing ammo. No body uses this workshop for a reason.

I'm nearly lvl 400 and iv only just found out about this lol.

This is such a slow way to get ammo. Crafting it urself is so much easier and u get tons and tons. I craft 10k ammo anytime I craft

@@Irradiated1 Angry Turtle has an excellent video he just made using the AB Pistol with the cryo mod. It's a monster in a 2 shot. I would use it more if the ammo was easier to get. I have a 2 shot and a bloodied. The reason I got them was I was participating in Eviction Notice and someone was also playing using an Alien Blaster and just melting the fire starters instantly. I had to try to do that too.

You can put a lock on the machine to reduce the chances of people stealing it, but people can contest the workshop and take the whole thing, but that’s not very likely

The ammo machine is pretty nice, I got one at each of my camps some are making 45's and others are making 556.

I always get this workshop since my camp is nearby it’s underneath the west compass and I get tons of points from that ammo converter sadly it doesn’t make prime ammo

I pick up lots that other people have made there ill always contest that camp

You can find more ammo just by playing. Lol.
