Who the hell let's a accent prevent learning of a topic?

Brahmin milk and Nuka Grape are both safe for mutations. Nuka Grape can be bought from a vendor that exclusively sells Nuka Cola in the white spring hotel. Nuka Grape removes a very large amount of rads where as brahmin milk removes a very small amount and is not constantly accessible. If you need or want multiple Nuka Grape, only one is generally present in the vendor, server hop until you have purchased the desired quantity from the vendor. Beware of decontamination showers as well, people tend to put them in their camps in doorways and sometimes in close proximity to their player shops. These will generally remove mutations as well.

You can also use Nuka Cola Grape to get rid of a lot of radiation and gain hp. You can purchase from Bubbles at WSR but you can only buy one at a time each trip to the resort. I get a friend to purchase one for me also to have a spare at all times until you get your 2 starched genes cards. Also you can place the Brahmin pen at your camp which is actually a fertilizer resource wheel barrow in the camp building menu so not sure why it's called a pen. A brahmin will show up at your camp when placed. Flatwoods has 5 brahmin to milk in the area.

​@@elijah8928 You can buy it from Bubbles, upstairs in the Whitespring Resort. Caps can be easily farmed if you rush (follow Overseer quest, Camp McClintock) to get the big water purifier and place your CAMP near water early game...

Great presentation. Everyone else was doing it the confusing and hard way. I didn't get a mutation every time but if you stick with it, you'll get em. I have 9 mutations right now and it only took about an hour or so.

You can also try Radiation Barrels, Serums usually 300 to 1000 caps from Player Vendors and have full upgraded Starched Gene Perk Card ready to apply to keep Mutations because come a fight you use Rad Away goodbye Mutations without that Card in play.

You can also access the pause menu before respawning, so you can leave the server without having to respawn. This should save you some extra time.

I've played this game over 500 hours and never knew about that fountain in Whitesprings! 😲

Mutations are a gamechanger. Must have for any new players are Maruspial and Speed Demon.

We need specific mutation antidotes.

I paid for and used the serum Healing factor before watching Turtles vid on being healed with the lifegiver perk. That perk doesnt work with the healing factor mutation.

So I guess you can't cure just one unwanted mutation...

This is how I used to get my first couple of free mutations before I could make the serums myself. Gotta watch out for that damn Empath mutation though. That sucker will ruin your day.

Yaaaaaay I'm early !!! Love the premise and I'll try it for my toon that is missing a few mutations

Don't forget to have Class Freak rank 3 when you do this, it removes 75% of the negative effects & get some good underarmour ( Sheilded Vault 76 Jumpsuit ) for example to up your stats a bit to make the negative effects a bit less of a problem

Depends on the build and the mutations, i run like 7-8 mutations and using class freak equals to perks wasted for my stealth commando, since downsides are not a big deal in that case.

First of all, your tutorials are the best. You make sure to leave no stone unturned. Question: as a level 50 that cant afford serums yet, Is it better to get all mutationa since the negative and positive effects seem to balance out? Or should we only get the ones that fit our play style?

Thank you for making this video I had got the Chameleon mutation from radiation (it turns you invisible if you stand still weapon drawn and no armor) and I accidentally cured it because I used a rad-away and didn’t know it could be cured, I want it back but didn’t really know how I though I’d have to jump in a puddle of ooze and hope/use rad-away until I get it again, I don’t want to kill my self to try and get it but thank you now I know I can just drink dirty water.

this is awesome! great to know, thank you. but i cant think of a build who wants all the mutations so i think id rather keep buying the ones i want at the market76 subreddit. most time, you even get them for free. and if not, its just around 200 caps per mutation. but anyways, that is great to know if i start a new character, thanks Dr. 76! :D

Not only Bramin Milk is save. You can also use Nuka Cola Grape (-400 Rads without any skill for 25 caps) and you can buy it very easy in Whitespring Resort.

I was using the method of standing next to radiation barrels until the mutated emote came up. However, this only worked a few times. Even when server hopping is get the mutated emote, but no mutation message or mutation effect. I'll try it this way and see if it works.

Question: Is there a way too keep certain mutations while removing pthers? Say I have 2 good mutations and a bad one, can I somehow make the bad one go away while I keep the good ones or is it random which one goes and which one stays?

If you don’t want herbivore just deal with cus the Cannibal perk still works and also the class something perk reduces the negative effects you unlock it at 40 some and the effects aren’t that bad for a bloodied build(automatic rife or rife) Meele builds they are pretty bad and they benefit you more than they are negative and I think there’s serums that take one away idk tho I’ve see them in vending machines tho but my last tip is to get the healing one cus it gives 300% hp Regin

I went to the waste disposal site, rad barrels right next to the shower. if I got one I didnt like I just removed the rads and started over.

Once again thnx for the nice vid I have now 14 mutations some good and some bad once I can make them myself ill make a good build 😁

Idk y people don't like herd mentality. If you join a group, you get +2 and no you do not need to be "close by" and when you leave group, yes you -2, but it doesn't take another 2 away. The -2 is when you leave group, not just -2 before you get in a group. Ive argued with a friend about this and then proved to him that it doesn't work as people think it does. I can be clear across the map and still have the +2 and whrn i leave i lose those 2, but when i first put it on, i don't lose 2 just for putting it on. So its really not as bad as people think. Unless that's how it works on PS4 so idk if PC or Xbox is messed up

I know you know this already, but it's even better now because of the public group system. You can play solo and still get the effects as long as a group is formed.

I came across a glitch that removes the last mutation instead of removing all mutations when you take a rad away. I was trying to reset my mutations because i got a combo i didnt really like, so i ended up going into the rad shower real quick, pulled up the map and quit the game, really quickly. I saw that i only got rid of 2 of the 8 mutations that i had at the time, and those were the mutations i didnt want anyways. Im not sure if its 100 percent, but i was instantly flabbergasted when i found out i got rid of two mutations instead of all 8 that i had

Thats not really a glitch, if you go into the rad shower and get 1-2 ticks, it might or might not remove your mutations (Same with radaway), and when you have more than one, usually it removes one and after a tick or two more, the next. Sometimes it removes all of the them/many. Esentially, you did nothing. Just RNG.

I've been playing this game since the beta, I never knew about the water fountain that can cure your diseases lol

Yes it works perfectly but with a new character that is level 12 as i tested i end up with someting quite unplayable, almost all my special are at minus 1, i can run for 2second max, get killed by a scorched level 1 and i get so many other difficulties that i just removed them all. On another high levelk character i have the serum recipies and i could choose my mutation and i works perfectly well but i also have the card to keep your mutation and to remove side effects. Without those cards that you cannot have at low level, mutations are totally crap, except marsupial and a few others. So you have to repeat the process multiple times and stop when you have only the mutation you need.

This still does work, though you have to quit and rejoin after you get each mutation.

Seeing the original log in screen brings back memories I really miss the battle royal it was weird and fun

i think nuka grape works as well for removing rads without losing your mutations

Great video. I spent so long getting the exact two mutations I wanted. I finally got them, then someone’s decontamination bullcrap at their base removed my mutations :(

I've got 17 mutations so far. I'm gonna try to erase the bad ones I have, but if I end up erasing one that I want to keep, I'll just keep doing this until I get it again. Thx for the info, even though I'm a few years late💀

I already used all my luck points, wanted to bring down the negatives of having a lot of mutations but can´t.

One question from newby. Isn't that low health pool after gaining all those mutations a problem? Or after you drink that cows milk you can heal to full?

Most mutations negative effects you can overlook, but healing factor, empath,Twisted Muscles and Herb Mentality are incredebly harsh.

I hope you get to read this. I followed this method and it worked eventually, however i was in the middle of a mission while getting mutated needing to jump on a roof to get hold of the package the drone had to launch my first nuke, when i got marsupial i was super excited because now i could jump on the roof to collect my prize what happened next came as a surprise, i lost that mission on my pipboy lost my plans for the x01 armor! Went back to the Enclave to restart the mission and although i get to shoot the drone to get the keycard? the game wont allow me to complete the mission. Any ideas?

While useful, I think buying the serums from the players for couple hundred caps each is a better option. Time saved and headaches avoided by not getting "bad" mutations and having to start over is immeasurable.

I was hoping a single dose of rad-away would just remove the last mutation you received, but I guess not. We'll, at least I finally got a definitive answer to that question. 🙂

Better to pick them then have them all I tried having them all and with high gear I was dying more often then when I was a fresh spawn having class freak and teaming up perks and it sucks ass best mutations are adrenaline reaction, carnivore, marsupial, speed demon, healing factor and herd mentality if you are always in a team other then that don’t get it

And also for now since I still don’t have a Bloodied Gauss Shotgun, which of mine will do more damage. My junkies with max addictions or my Anti armor? I’m doing tests and it seems that the anti armor is way better than the junkies

Just use starched genes too keep mutations and class freak to reduce negative effects

Drinking toxic goo would speed this up instead of water. Get it right inside west tek. With stealth you can walk right in and take it with no killing. If you cant stealth might have to kill a few.

Do you have to be level 5 to get all mutations or any level
