I love it when we come up with ideas using pieces in a completely different way in which it was intended.

Thank you again for repurposing bits of the ball track, which I hadn't planned on using. My first thought when you originally plopped the funnel directly into the ground was, "The settlers are going to craft a giant communal peanut butter cup candy!"

Those would be my favorite settlers ever. The firepit is nice too though.

I came here to learn where to find the campfire in the build menu, and I learned so much more! Thanks!

That is a very cool idea! I suspect it will find its way into one or more of my own builds. Thank you for demonstrating this.

Really cool idea. The funny thing is I didn't know that there was a funnel in the workshop. Looking forward for some more great ideas.

very good idea, but than it is made easier: first, take the long electric pole instead of the rugs. Second, the firecamps are stackable, so buid two or three on each other and you have it by the first placing ready ;)

I loved your build of this. I have since built two of these fire pits at a couple of settlements and plan to do a few more of them at my other settlements. Hopefully one of these days when I figure out how to upload videos, and you can see how I used them.

Congratulations on 2k subs! The funnel piece reminded me of a Reese's peanut butter cup wrapper more than anything else at first. Guess I'm hungry? And yeah, this a really cool use of that particular piece. When I get perspective issues, I always hold A (XB1) and use the left stick to move the anchor piece as far from me as possible then rotate the group so the thing I want to place is right in front of me. It's how I did the shops in their huts in my recent methods and techniques videos. I have horrible depth perception in-game and I can never tell how deep the signs are unless I can see 'em from the front. :)

why wouldn't you use one of the larger rugs, carpets, to move the campfire around?

Uh, I don't know. You can if you want I guess, I just didn't think of it. Or I was probably using the small one in case it got stuck in the floor and I couldn't remove it, it wouldn't be as obvious maybe? Lol! I don't know how my brain works.

I've used the larger ones befor and sometimes it doesn't always work. I just though there was a reason you didn't. Anywho your brain knows how you work so it's all gravy. =D

I know this is an old post, but is there a way to just add flames to something? I was able to do it in Skyrim, but that was long ago and a forgotten method. It would be very cool to be able to add flames to a statue for example or a bowl or any other thing that would look awesome with flames shooting out of it.

(10:05) If you don't scrap them casually, there are certainly plenty of those patio chairs and tables around Sanctuary, as well as some other settlements.

Yeah, I never scrap those chairs and tables. I usually end up moving them all over to the main house first thing and making a little patio area.

Completely brilliant idea! *smacks forehead* and a perfect use. Far FAAAR better than what I had initially thought. I mean sure, I kinda figured it out but at first glance... Well, I hate to be crass but.. I thought it was an outhouse piece for Strong. Sorry, just saying. Okay, I'll go now.

You could probably do something with the garden plots from wasteland workshop for under the fire instead of multiple fires

The firepits will stack on top of each other and will be perfectly straight as long as you don't move your controller just click X (PS4) as many times as you want 4 times will give 4 firepits stacked perfectly on top of each other and it looks really cool.

  • @WastelandDovahkiin

    @WastelandDovahkiin

But the point was to rotate each one slightly so they fill in all the gaps, so you can't see through down into the funnel.

You know that's a cool idea but wouldn't it be a little bit easier if you just stacked the campfires on top of each other before you put them on the rugs that way you only have to put them in there once just an idea
