I still believe that through the enclaves experiments on Frank, he literally mutated into a super mutant. And rather than kill their best soldier, they built a suit of power armor around him to hide their mistake.

From what I've heard in multiple explanations is he was a full on super mutant in the sense that his mutations were started from the FEV inside Mariposa, then the Enclave experimented on him ending with him being dosed on chems to keep him calm and the suit being built into him and impossible to take off, all so he could be put back in the field as an unstoppable force.

Lore wise I think it's less to hide their mistake and more because they still want to keep him as a valuable asset. And I'm pretty sure the Super mutant thing isn't just a theory. He was exposed to FEV from the Mariposa Base excavation and considering he was a 'prime normal' of sorts, he turned out being one of the first 2nd Generation mutants to retain his mental faculties. But much like Herold, he's not exactly the same as any other mutant or super mutant, but something different entirely

​@@WreckingballbluYes and no. He was the first "Success" of the FEV. His body transformed into essentially a super soldier/Mutant, but it broke his mind to the point he thinks his still human. The Enclave built the armour around him, but simply so he doesn't lose his mind

Still one of my favorite characters in the fallout universe. I mean come on, it's a damn super mutant behemoth in power armor. That alone makes him amazing. He also the only character (besides the master) I genuinely felt terrified of. I remember being a little kid seeing him tower over everyone with that bass voice and thinking "Oh god I hope I don't have to fight him...." I have no idea how long it took me to beat him when I finally got to him. Man is a beast!

This should get released as a mod

I like how Frank despite his hate for any wastelanders and clear sadism still follows only goals of the mission he was sent to accomplish and allows choosen one to walk away while they can even though at that moment of storyline choosen one could be clapped by Frank. Not without putting effort but still

As much as i'm not a fan of Ai Voices. I really wanted to see those scences of Frank Horrigan voiced. He has such an intimidating voice, shame there wasn't more Frank in Fallout 2.

Looking how big the X0-1 power armor in Fallout 4 is and comparing those soldier's with Frank Horrigan in the first clip, made me realise how actually really fucking big Frank is, he's basically a real Super Mutant Behemoth, clad in the most advance power armor with the best weapons too... He is even intelligent... That is crazy! How could the chosen one defeat that demon??? The chosen one might be the strongest MC in the franchise. And apart from Liberty Prime, Frank is ofc the second powerful nom MC character in Fallout history

The Chosen One had stats that are impossible to reach in the following Fallout games. Even so, Frank has the highest total stat score of any character in any of the games (10 all around). I believe Mama Murphy had the highest single stat (19 strength)

That aside, while the Chosen One has their level cap set to 99, fo4's mc has no level cap and can get every perk. None of this matters, however, as stats are just for gameplay purposes and are not necessarily canon. Frank def doesn't have INT 10 lol

The look of his armor in the close up scenes is so good. It really makes me feel like dudes been out In The shit for a long time. It's weathered and dented. Truly conveys the idea of walking the wasteland is no walk In the park.
