Falling Q&A Ft. Viggo Mortensen, Lance Henriksen, Larua Linney and Werner Herzog
Фильм және анимация
Legendary filmmaker, Werner Herzog, hosts a Q&A with the cast of Viggo Mortensen's Directorial debut FALLING.
Academy Award® and BAFTA nominee actor Viggo Mortensen explores the fractures and contrasts that make up a modern family in his directorial debut, FALLING, an intimate drama about a son's relationship with his ageing father.
Director: Viggo Mortensen
Starring: Viggo Mortensen, Lance Henriksen, Terry Chen, Sverrir Gudnason, Hannah Gross, Laura Linney, Grady McKenzie
John Petersen (Mortensen) lives with his partner Eric (Chan) and their adopted daughter Monica in Southern California. His father Willis (Henriksen/Gudnason) is a farmer whose attitudes and behaviour belong to a far more traditional era and family model. When Willis travels to Los Angeles for an indefinite stay with John’s family in order to search for a place to retire, these two very different worlds collide.
Willis' behaviour can be both caustic and funny - with outbursts that shock his liberal family. This endears him to grand-daughter Monica, but it almost proves too much for John, and his sister Sarah (Linney), bringing old wounds back to the surface and creating new ones along the way. With Willis’ memory in rapid decline, his thoughts turn back to his first wife Gwen (Gross), a love that still consumes him a lifetime later. As father and son confront the events that have torn them apart, we see the gamut of their relationship over 40 years, and their differing recollections of John’s mother, Gwen: from dark to light, from rage and jealousy through to acceptance, laughter, and hard-won grace.

How can this only have 224 views? This is like walking into a small cafe and sitting down at a table a suddenly realizing you're sitting next to legends ?

lance remember terminator as good
Mr Herzog beautifully insightful and considerate as interviewer, great chemistry between the interviewees - because it was the same in the film or the other way round, anyways, a gem of an interview adequately publicising a film that definitely should continue to be promoted.
Laura Linney - good to see this talented actress again. Far too under utlised in contemporary cinema we reckon. Thsk for this.

Viggo Mortensen is such an amazing soul, what a man
I saw FALLING before the Cinemas closed again in Denmark. You see so many movies and most of them is forgotten within days, but this one just hit me. I still think about some of the scenes, cause dementia is very much present in my live. Friends died of Alzheimers, I myself had a minor stroke and forgot a lot, but are luckely totally healed again, and as a bookpublisher I really want to put focus on this subject and all the fealings you go through, wether it is you yourself or your love ones.
Brilliant director and actors! What a special treat!
Hope Werner and Lance makes a movie togheter
They got the actress's name wrong in the titile. She is Laura. Also she looks so much like his other costar Naomi Watts. They worked together in Easterly Winds
Viggo Mortensen - a uniquely, fascinating actor, thks for this
Wishing good luck
