I completely fell head over heels for him in the film...watching the clip and after seeing it so many times I'm urging them both to turn around when they leave the book store💕☘️😊

this is one of the very best romantic love movies of all time, i bought this movie on dvd a few years ago after watching them both in the deer hunter as they make a perfect couple i love this ending.

I was impressed that they didn’t have a passionate kiss, though you know they could. Their connection was about more than lust; it was a deep sense of cherishing the human desire for bonding and caring from the heart.

Yes i have notice that also. I have seen this movie many times. I don’t care for affair films. This was different. You can see these are two people that feel more comfortable around each other than their spouses. And the feelings wow. When Robert tells her he loves her.I believe him. As for the kissing scenes the first and last kiss was a good but movie type of kiss. The second kiss. That was a real kiss. Good on Robert!

Robert Di Niro was incredibly handsome… Meryl Streep wasn’t a beauty … pretty but not a beauty. A brilliant actress though.

A beautiful film... A myriad of emotions and feelings were conveyed through eyes and subtle body language. Both Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro were simply brilliant! ❤❤

What a beautiful love scene played by two outstanding actors - loved that moment. To be loved like that is one of the most beautiful moments in life 👍

My heart aches when I view this film like 10 times. I remember falling in love late in life. The right love at the wrong time. What was ironic, the love of my life who unfortunately passed away 2 years after meeting each other has a resemblance to Robert de Niro. Memories kept flooding back. True love is bittersweet

I've watched this movie countless times. No ripping off shirts, no pulling down panties, no pressing up against shower glass. It's not falling in lust. It's falling in love. btw, that look on Meryl's and Robert's faces in the final scene says it, all. No silly grins. No sobs or moans. No cracking jokes. Love is about surrender and helplessness. That's the look of two people in love and they perform it, perfectly!

No, I disagree. Real love is not something that everyone is lucky enough to find. Real love is so deep, you are always putting the other person first, as he puts you first. You finish each other’s sentences, your never bored, you fall more deeply in love everyday. I know, we found each other over ten years ago, and we are deeper in love today, but not as much as tomorrow. He is my heart. ❤️

I'll never forget the day when I first saw this beautiful movie! It was in 1985 when I stayed in London (my favourite city!) as an au-pair. On a rainy sunday I got bored, so I decided to go to the movies all by myself. What a great time that was! I will cherish this memory forever! And I loved this movie ever since! 👍👍❤

Beautiful ending scene. So much of how they felt….we could see it in their eyes. The music is perfection. So much chemistry between this absolutely gorgeous couple. ♥

Wow….not just a lovely scene/movie….but emblematic of a time when films could (more reliably) offer beautiful moments like this one….the soundtrack, setting, etc…it’s all there.

One of The Best Romance Movies Ever... 1984 Classic.

Lost count of the nbr of times I've watched this movie without once getting bored. Beautiful story, Robert & Meryl don't act, they live the roles..

Wonderful movie and melting, touching soundtrack by Dave Grusin. Unfortunatley It reminds me my unrequieted love!

The beauty of this woman. Incredible! And De Niro is just gorgeous. I love this and the film Heartburn as well.

I am sorry, but Meryl is not a beautiful woman at all,she is a wonderful actress but his long face, nose and eyes are everything but pretty . De Niro is handsome and sexy.

I have watched this movie time after time , they have beautiful chemistry together , Love how she looks so adoringly at him , it's like she's saying 'I've been looking for you my whole life' .....one of my favourite movies , 2 screen Legends....

Who doesn't hope there is someone to come find us? I often wonder if the people from my past that I think of ever think of me.

This ending always gives me the same feeling - I can feel that heartbreaking sinking feeling as you both walk away from each other, not sure if you'll ever be together, or see each other again...and then, he turns around and runs to Grand Central to be with her! This is one of my all time favorite movies!

A simply sublime ending to a very romantic movie. The Dave Grusin soundtrack perfectly complements this ending, such a buildup. And that moment when DeNiro stops just short of their embrace, that look in his eyes, that’s incredible acting. You know you’re good when you can convey so much with your eyes. DeNiro and Streep at the top of their game, both extremely attractive. I’ve always loved this film.

I concur with you without any form of reservation. The scene belonged entirely to Meryl Streep, but it is the incredible acting capability of De Niro, that he stole the scene from her. His expressions were fault less. Don't know how many times I would have seen the ending. No dialogues, no obscenity, no fanfare, just 'pure love'. Nothing short of magic.

I've always loved this film too... This kind of movie that keeps in mind all the life time.... And the title of this film very very often come back in my mind and it brought me a very lovely sensation and many sweet memories..

How come I never saw this movie before. This last scene is way much better and more romantic and classic than many blockbusters out there claiming to be the best! The music is beautiful.

Great actors! Their eyes speak their feelings for each other. Beautiful story...

I can see this chemistry in Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in You've Got Mail or Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack in Serendipity... Such a wonderful movie and beautiful soundtrack...

Such a divine romance between these two wonderful actors. You so believe what they are feeling, the ending is just beautiful and as stated earlier the freeze shot of Meryl's face is breathtaking. A+

That pause momentarily and then the realisation and the build up that follows to a very romantic ending to me it was genuinely amazing, wow wow and wow. The acting of two great actors, what else was missing?❤❤❤❤❤❤

Robert De Niro a great actor and so good looking. I love the movie with Meryl Streep so beautiful too. The movie teaches so much about things that happened in life. Life is not perfect and sometimes takes us to things that are imperfect but it's the way life goes. I love the movie and bring me great memories.

This film introduced me to harvey keitel, diane wiest and dave grusin. Im 51 now and.still.watch this every xmas. Saw this in the theater when i was 16 or 17.

I just watched this film for the first time again in 37 years. I had forgotten what a lovely romantic film this was. Both actors have wonderful chemistry and the soundtrack by Dave Grusin is just beautiful. Unforgettable 💖

For well over 35 years, me and my wife have watched this film during Christmas, religiously...Dave Grusin score was very appropriate...how time flies.

I remember my friends brought this movie video and we watched it at friend's house with such tension and despair holding each other's hands and pressing our fingers of pain that I thought my heart will jump out of me: Will De Niro finally decide to run to Streep at the railways or not...And when finally we watched they did then we all felt how painfully we were pressing each other's fingers ...But it was such relief when they huged each other 😊 ..And then... I recalled that my mother-in-law and father-in-law have already arrived at my house and waited for me with my son . He was on holidays with them ...Then my son passed away and husband's parents died soon ..then I divorced very soon .. It was many- many years ago ..Now suddenly I saw this video ..Yes... that's what love is ... unexpected.. unbelievable by all ways.. it's secret ..as it's called in ancient times : Sacramento...

To be loved like that is one of the most beautiful moments in life....Robert De Niro was so Papable when he was younger....love this movie... these two were always Perfect on the screen together.

A medieval Comedy was a narrative that ends happily, as in Dante’s comedy. Im sure they didn’t mean it in the modern definition of comedy as an amusing narrative.

A beautiful film and story, love Robert in everything he’s ever done, hope this will be on tv soon , a real gem 💎

I love this movie. I own it. Ending is so sweet, gentle & loving.

OMG I haven't seen this film in years. Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro are great in it.
