I just wanted to take a moment and tell the KZread world about this man. Bill and I were on the same team. He showed up as a combat replacement for another warrior that got blown out of a gun turret from an IED in our second week. Bill was everything described within this video and more. All of you viewers have no idea how awesome this kid was. I have a picture of him hanging on my wall and will NEVER forget this hero. He carried my heavy bag into Panerak with a smile and left me with his toothbrush (which I still have). We laughed and I would never have another conversation with him. I love you Bill; I miss you; I hate that you had to leave us...

I'm sorry both your parents are away. I prayed every night too. My thoughts would go out to my dad about where he is, what he's doing, is he safe? Keep your integrity. Write letters, send your art, poetry. Keep it light tell funny stories about school or work, friends, family. You can always find something funny, good to give mom and dad a happy heart massage. Hope they're home soon and crap doesn't follow them back. I hope you have friends who military people like school mates because they may be right with you. It was hard.

Mother of two Marines oldest being a gunner. I knew nothing about this branch until now. I believe they’re not defending our nation. These men are defending their Marine brothers which they’ve grown to love. They have one hell of a bond.

no one should be treated higher by their jobs, anyone who fights for their country is a soldier and they should all be treated equally.

Soldiers who die for the greater good, whether that be for their friends, family, nation and/or flag, has a special place in my heart for being a true warrior at heart, these men and women cannot be bought, cannot be manufactured, or constructed, this is a breed of warrior that cannot be broken of his/her title as a hero, and will be remembered in the flash points of history for being a hero.

Bill lived the next town over from me, and my cousins went to high school with him. I drive by his parents house every day on my way to work. I never had the honor to meet bill, but I have met his dad and he is an amazing, humble man. Everything I’ve heard of billy has been amazing things for example He was a savage on a dirtbike. I'm proud of my family warriors. Bill (Billy) comes from a long line of them, and from a recent generation of them....how do I know, I'm closely related to both Billy and SSG. Darren J Cunningham who died 9/30/2004. Bill wouldn't say he was better than an Army guy...because he had respect for his fellow soldier and had lost his cousin to the war in Iraq. They fought for the betterment of others, and not themselves. RIP Billy and Darren....Warriors to the end!
