They called the Marines "yellow legs" because we were still wearing the WWII issue canvas leggings. When the General in command of the US Marines heard this, he issued an order for all Marines to stop wearing the leggings.

What the Marines don’t like to tell you about Belleau Wood is that they were under the command of the US Army 4th Division who was also there, and that the 4th Div. did just as good a job as the Marines. Painful but true.

lol 4th was never there, it was 2nd and 3rd. Hill 142's victory with no artillery and only two companies, the Marne stopping, and the counterattacks to win is why the marines claim it. Gtfo here this one isn't for you. Look at the number of marines who gave their lives here vs the Army. The French also failed to provide artillery for the 5th and 6th marine battalions and thus why many of them died. Don't even. Also if you are going to be factual. Get your units right. 4th division was not there.

@@lawoftheland5923 It was the Army regardless of whether or not it was the 4th, and the Marines are always trying to steal the glory from the Army. That’s why Eisenhower wouldn’t let the Marines participate at Normandy. He knew the Marines would try to steal the credit. The reason is because the Marines are always running just a little bit scared, knowing that they’re expendable, but the Army is not.

Hmm... I didn't see Trump in this video. Trump, the guy who invited the Taliban to Camp David on 9/11, who released 5,000 Taliban prisoners with no strings; some were probably Isis members, the Trump who signed the agreement to haphazardly pull out of Afghanistan, who called the Marines who were wounded and killed at Belleau Wood suckers and losers, the coward who dodged the draft, the coward who attacked a gold star family, the coward who didn't want a wounded vet to appear with him because the vet's wheelchair would ruin the photo opp. That's Trump. And that's just scratching the surface.
