Jeremy’s playthrough of Sekiro is exactly how mine happened, I fell off on Isshin after being exhausted from the game and never beat him. It’s been about 3 years and I’ve thought frequently about dumping a day into mastering the fight, this is definitely my motivation to do it!
Very much would like a Sekiro-themed podcast
I still thank Totabiscuit for converting to me to the ethos of, "reviews don't really matter, scores don't really matter" because I did suddenly find I enjoyed games more that way. So it's very amusing to me seeing nerds online having a breakdown, because someone said something negative in some way about the game they were going to play. Just go play the game yourself. It's fine. Hell, I've played some games people have shit on for decades, but then I play it and I'm like, "why did anyone think this was bad? I love this!". I had experience with FF 10 just last year. People hated that game when it came out, and now it's one of my faves.

FF10 was hated at the time? Growing up with it and the KH games, I always saw the 2 biggest FF games being 7 and 10. I know people thought the dub and that specific laughing scene was goofy as hell but I didn't know they were hated
The last bar I went to was the diviest dive bar I've seen in a while. Someone asked me what I wanted and I said a Shirley Temple to which they said "I'm not ordering that" and walked away.
I’ve played Bloodborne, Sekiro, Demon’s Souls, and Elden Ring, and Sekiro is the only one I’ve beaten. I absolutely love that game. The combat system is so tight and visceral. When you get it wrong, you’re effed, but when you get it right, you feel like an absolute samurai god.
The vibes in this ep were soo good. Thanks lads
Hotel Dusk rules! And the fighting game talk makes me want to try to learn a fighting game. Great episode.
1:18:01 I love Frank’s take on internet discourse and enjoying art/entertainment. We have a cornucopia of things to enjoy and yet some people spend their precious time complaining about what you can or can’t like or what’s a valid opinion. Find things that enrich your life. Don’t be a killjoy.
I share a birthday with Resident Evil 2 (original)!

HA That's so perfect
Scurvy sometimes happens in student populations, where every now and again someone manages to go months eating so poorly they don't get a source.
Hesitation is Defeat.
#SekiroSunmer. One of my favourite games ever.
Hell yes in more Sekiro content
Frank wins intro item off! I don't think Jeremy has won yet :( Also this podcast is dangerous! I either wishlist a game or buy a game every time.

I thought Jeremy was pretty funny on this one.

I'm like the anti-collector, so I don't really have a lot of things to hold up for the camera tbh! Whenever I get cool video game swag through work, I give it to friends. I don't like having a lot of things, just what I need.

@@jeremybjayne Comedic timing alone, you easily won this one. Sticker fling is the new mic drop.

@@jeremybjayne I did enjoy the 2 0 gesture! I'm just going off item alone though but I can appreciate the minimalism!
Sekiro: Noclip Dies Thrice! I'm down to clown with Sekiro Summer!
A J&J Fatsession on SF& would be a dream.
I grew up on Dragon Warrior games on my NES, but Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King would be my #1 recommendation if you are looking to get into one.
Sekiro pod yes
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire was released on my 11th birthday. That's bloody good eating
🚨Fallen Aces currently IS NOT A STEAM DECK GAME! 🚨Every time anything combat relating happens it stutters like crazy making it unplayable. I reached out to the developer and they are aware of the problem and are working on it, just not sure when yet.
nightfire is pretty interesting. 2 versions that play completely different but have the same story. pc nightfire is a golden source game and the console is its custom engine
Tormenture is a take on the hugely influential 2600 game Adventure. It’s like 45 years old at this point, so we can’t fault you for not picking up on that. Just downloaded the demo, and the first screen is the fucking yellow castle from Adventure! This is gonna be fun…
Cool. It's Gianni's goon from Saints Row 2 😂 (Cannon)
DQ 11 is a great place to start, but it is also the least favorable way to experience. 11 is a celebration of all dragon quest games, it is full for references to previous games that are immensely rewarding to old fans. Besides the ones discussed, dq4 is also a great place to start
Multiple podcasts nowadays spend 40, 50, 60 minutes talking about how the games industry and the coverage industry of them sucks. And its true, and we know it, and its important but... It truly starts to make me feel exhausted. Multiple podcasts are following a time recipe of: 45% bad news, 45% game announcements (commenting on marketing...) and just 10% on games played. I have stopped listening to 3 kinda big ones already, in the last months. All this just to say that you guys are making something truly special here. You dont ignore the bad news but you actually spend so much time talking about games you played. Feels so simple but is actually kinda rare now.

A lot of games media doesn’t actually talk about the games it feels like

The layoffs are unprecedented though. I get why podcasts keep bringing it up because down the line it could really damage the industry. But it is exhausting to listen to at points.
Just wanted to say thanks for the beer talk! As a Belgian and fellow beer enthousiast, I loved that Jeremy & Jesse brought up the Geuze, trappists (Westmalle being the most known, but try Achel if you haven't!)> Also wondering which kind of beers did Jeremy brew?

I brewed a couple different citra-heavy IPAs, an east coast IPA with apollo hops (knock-off of Boston's Harpoon IPA), and a vanilla stout. I'd like to get back into it someday, it's just a ton of work!
Pssh, it took me 10 days to beat the dev time of Out of Time in Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled. My first dev time and I would say is the hardest
Fallen Aces= Dishonored: The Knife Of Mobster City.
I broke two headsets and a controller beating Sword Saint Isshin; upon beating him, I growled like an animal. I'm a different man now.
plz make this a sekiro summer
I can't watch Jeremy he's in black & white
