Fall Walleye Fishing With Live Bait
Today we are fishing in the Hayward Wisconsin area and targeting fall walleyes. We are focusing on a shallow water movement of fish that happens every year when the water begins to cool in the fall. Finding these fish amongst the weeds is always the challenge. This video focuses on finding fish in these shallow water weeds areas. Using live bait is always an effective way to catch fall walleyes and today we are using jigs and sucker minnows.

I love your videos! Always so much great in-depth info! And always relevant to the time of year. You answered my question about when to transition from a deeper bite up to the shallows. Thanks again

I practice everyday haha
Jay moody , me too, it works for me though😎
Great video Tom I'm down in the Cincinnati / eastern Indiana area where the water is stained year round. We mainly use small jigs and half a crawler or pulling Flickershads. Plus the jigging wrap and HJ's also work in close. My gen 1 HB SI lacks the clarity - but she works ok in the slop. Just not the numbers like up north. Wish I lived there! 😁
Paul Nokia, I live on a big lake I can go 50 miles one way and can go north, east or Southeast for 50 miles, tiller is fine , if your on big water go 20' or bigger and fiberglass, big as you can
Another great TB video. Looks like you got a big storage box for your boat?
You should do some more Hayward musky videos!
I'm sure you've answered this before...but do you save your screenshots to a regular SD card or do you save them to a zero lines card? Great video, as aways!
Good stuff Tom, have you been to lake Erie yet? I would love if you dissected it and showed us the way. I'm sure you believe we could fish a lot of the Haywood ways in it, what do you believe?

Looks like an amazing place I've just never had the desire to go there yet
I don't have side imaging just down 😪
How well will this work with worms, leeches and frozen minnows?
Wish I had a lake with walleye like this near, I'll just have to settle for our river eyes, there moving into deep water now. Have you tried poor man's lobster with eyes? Did last night, delicious... Just like crab.
How fast are you moving with the trolling motor? Great Videos! Thanks for all the tips. Michigander here.

What line do you use on your walleye rods?
Milfoil. I've seen a lake in Wisconsin completely choked with it (a large number of years ago). Is it getting under control?
It looks like you are using a Kalin’s short shank hook even when using 3-4 inch suckers. Do you ever use a longer shank hook when fishing live bait?? Is the hook up percentage better with the short shank in your opinion?? Thanks again for a great video!!

That is a long shank jig. Not a live bait jig. I never use live bait short shank jigs. Especially with a bigger sucker I like the long shank
what size rod is that ?? looks longer than the mojo bass

I'm shopping for my next boat, like you i prefer tillers. I love your set up, would you recommend it for a bigger body of water like lbdn?
