You are an excellent craftsman, I appreciate you teaching us how to maintain the mechanisms, as well as being forthcoming about the possible flaws and how they can be repaired. That, in my mind, is the mark of a trustworthy craftsman.

I beg you, try to do those but with a moving lock that detonates a kid toy gun cap or a primer. I would buy that in a heartbeat. We have this issue here that people with steel armor don't feel these kinds of projectiles and it ends up being really confusing. That would be the definitive flintlock pistol. P.D: Very good job btw, nice pistol with good finish

A moving lock can be dangerous. We are not going to change it at the moment. the problem can be solved by putting some powder on the ball, as you can see in the video, it is then visible.

@@angel.snz_8602 If you want the sound more than the launched dart, you can always use one of the many excelent toy cap pistols that are in the marquet. And if (given your name and choice of words) you are from Spain, siempre puedes tratar de pillar una de las que se usaban aquí en los 70 y 80, que en ebay y en sitios de coleccionistas aún se pueden encontrar algunas, que eran mejores que las que hacían los guiris ;-) otherwise, Gohner (and Edison Giocattoli, but that one closed down last year) make good ones...

I was thinking this would be perfect for a Hunter build, and then I saw your shirt!

These things look amazing. I wish they were not quite so much, and i am worried how my local state laws in Australia would see them. Victoria has some really strict laws surrounding imitation firearms.

What is is the muzzle velocity of the round? My larp has a limit.

The muzzle velocity is around 85-90 FPS. However due to our ammunition being considerably lighter than NERF Rival, the energy of the ball is only around 0,3 J.

Cool stuff, bit sad that the lock dont move, placing asomething for a louder bang would be nice

Thank you, this blaster was made mainly as practical as possible for LARP battles. Maybe in future we will make more complex blaster 🙂

We have added a simple acoustic system to the blaster now. :)

Since firearms can not be imported into South Korea, I really hope I can order a non-firing wheellock pistol (but durable!!) from somewhere.

In order to prevent darts from going too far back into the plunger, couldn't you have a inner barrel that's slightly smaller than the diameter of the dart just after the plunger (leading to the barrel) to prevent it from being pushed into the plunger tube itself?

Yes, but you can use other ammunition now. For example nerf darts.

That's not true, it's legal everywhere, where nerf blasters are legal. (Which is pretty much everywhere.) The ball being smaller than an eye isn't really a problem, due to the really small mass and relatively low velocity. It's a lot safer than standard larp arrows for sure.
