When I first started the biggest guy was a loose cannon. He was a beginner though already really strong. I couldn't talk to him or he would just jump down my throat. Had to accept his wrong advice without question or comment. I got along very well with other regulars however and we were great friends.

Absolutely, seems like a great and down to earth person

I love how everyone in the US tends to stereotype these guys, but if you really look you can tell they are really supportive of one another and generally very appreciative of helpful suggestions. I too am a champion powerlifter (former) and once held the US record for dead lift (12 fluid ozs) at a University of Michigan football game---over 30 reps in an hour.

This guy never gets old. He destroyed that whole gym.

Anatoly rocks !! Years ago i was 105 lb and began training with low weight and in 6 months i came back from vacations and i was 175lb and i can do bíceps with 200lb in press. The big guys that laugh of me was surprised and the use low weights. Anatoly told that he know and some people just think is go to gym and use weight and more weight but need use technique and the breating etc etc. I love anatoly videos

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences in the 4 gyms I’ve trained in. Everyone was very respectful. There’s sort of an ‘unwritten’ rule of respect amongst gym-goers. I’ve always been surprised at how non-judgemental people have been. One of my standout experiences was at a boxing gym I frequented. I was like a pup amongst pitbulls and I found it intimidating. I eventually asked a few guys for help and they were so respectful and accommodating. Don’t be afraid to sign up and begin!

So true. I've trained since I was 14. I'm skinny like this guy & I'm only 12 stone. People get surprised. They just think if you're not big or don't have bulging muscles you're a weakling. I've seen plenty of big guys in the gym who hardly train calves & mines are bigger.
