    Great stuff as always Martin. Im just thinking that the background should be coming through the shadow a bit to make it more realistic. Using multiply blending mode

  • @botvidsson

    @botvidsson

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes I agree. I actually use a blend mode on the shadow, if you pull up the shadows you will see 😁 shared-assets.adobe.com/link/75c9c73b-469c-4430-5452-8041536c2922 Jokes aside, I realised after that I wanted to show more of the ground through the shadow but I did not record that edit and I did not want to show a different edit version. That's life...

    Another great tutorial. I've been watching your channel for a couple of years now. There is a projection attachment for the Bowens mount too. I have one question. Would you cut the shadow out separately and change the blend mode of the shadow to multiply to integrate with the background better?

  • @botvidsson

    @botvidsson

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, I actually did, but I did not record it. You hardly see the background in the shadow but I put the shadow on a separated layer and used some kind of blend mode, multiply or something like that.

    What kind of studio camera stand is that? I've been getting a lot of jewelry product jobs and having to do a lot of macro focus stacking, my regular tripod and ball head are just not good enough to stay as still as I need. If yours is crazy expensive, do you have any mid range suggestions on something very sturdy with a horizontal attachment?

  • @botvidsson

    @botvidsson

    Watch this coffee supporter video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5WNr9WNldGahNI.html The stand at 19:19 and boom arm at 23.13. Don't know the price, but I don't think it's crazy expensive. It's not the best tripod for studio photo but it works for me.
