Although it's interesting to see the internals, I feel misled by the title saying it's a review/comparison without showing the actual result of spraying it.

Id be up to seeing the fake vs original! Anyone else want to see that, pls hit like

Do a spray shoot out because the gun look fake it may not spray fake... I own a fake devilbiss and been spraying with it on a lot of jobs base coat and clear. Pretty consistant. .... actually a great gun....you’d be suprised

I have fake mini guns Italco H951 Sri copy and they are awesome and I have satajet mini 4 but I use fake guns because them spray good, you have to get good fake guns as there is all kind of quality with fake guns. I find that Italco guns are very well made.

I have the replica and it delivers professional results .. as bad as everyone makes them look and sound they do deliver good enough results for the 55$ you pay ... I think the people who paid 500 bucks are just mad 😂😂

I have replica of devilbiss Sri, Italco H951 and it is awesome gun, mind you I also have Sata mini jet 4 and I don't use it because I find the fake Italco much better. There is fake and there is fake, find good quality fake you be happy.

I have one and have sprayed tons of base and clear threw no issues lays nice and flat

I would be interested to see a spray comparison as is out of the box.

I spray the copy around 30 psi , maybe a little higher depending, as far as product I spray clear at 30-35 psi , base 30 psi or so , pressure maybe different where you are.

Well the bottom line is how do they spray? 1/2 hr. video comparing spray guns, I expected to see some actual results where the rubber meets the road! Then after that, just for shits & grins you could've swapped the air caps and checked out those results as I'd say the biggest issues would be that crappy machining on the air cap. No doubt there's a quality difference but seeing how it actually laid material down is what ultimately matters.

Lays down decent , I have a video where I painted a hood with it (how to paint a hood) used the fake gun came out alright actually

To answer your first return question from the first video. Yes my TE20 cap is the exact same poor quality machining right down to those nasty burs on the 3 hole cluster. The only difference with mine is it has a narrow white seal on the back. I also purchased the T110 cap and it is of the same poor quality (including the burs) but has the bigger seal. Answer to #2 I have 30 plus years experience and found set up to be more difficult then necessary and was not happy with some of the results that I got.

SW Customs exactly what I imagined , poor quality , some people find it difficult to believe because I didn’t spray with it, but I’ve been around sprayguns for several years now, and I know a good one from a bad one. I still have yet to measure the holes as you requested, would you like me to just measure the air cap holes from the fake and the real to do a comparison or just the fake?

@@Mechaniclyfe I would just like to know if they drilled the holes in the fake cap the same size as an original or are they different. No hurry when you get a minute. The DIY person is the target market. So if you don't have something to compare with, then one would think they got a great deal. A good example is my Devilbiss FLG5 out of the box - cleaned it - loaded it with clear - a 5 second set up and it put out a glass finish.

Mine has the Devilbiss embossed in the handle as well as all the same "made in UK" printing? You cant tell it from the original? Must be different factory's making them?

Good question , there are a number of factors. But a for sure factor is the real comes with 3 tips the fake only has one. Other minor things like embossing in the handle , instead of a sticker , stamping on both sides of the handle , labeling of the gun, colors available , and finishing on the knobs and air caps . If you see stickers or laser etching on the outside on the handle instead of a embossed label , that’s a for sure a fake .

Seems the biggest issure is the body not being hollowed out like the original, which is a patent design that make the Devilbiss a great gun.

The big question is does it paint as good and It does I have five of them

It didn’t paint bad actually but more orange peel than what I would have liked tho

unfortunately there's a few different versions of this fake gun, you have the crap one. i have another one which is bloody spot on to the real one even down to the engraving on the handle and air cap. I've compared it to my real one and it sprays the same.

I bought the replica gun awhile back but still haven't used it. I take it that it's better than anything from harbor freight so that's why I bought. Plus they had good reviews for the price. Do u recommend I get a genuine cap to use with the replica gun??

Depending on your replica honestly, if it’s anything like mine I would say , seek a better quality spraygun. You need to look at the air cap on yours to see if it’s the same slanted cut air cap. Harbor Freight’s Spectrum line is actually very good and now offer replacement parts you can order.

I own a few and they are great... when spraying clear ... put thinner in the gun or water... set your trigger at 55% or just do a see test ... where the water comes in when you spray look for consistant color from the gun ... I set mine between 50-55% then you’ll get consistant color from the gun.. then you’ll most your clear on ... no orange peel

Wonder if you can hit the two-hole design of the baffle with a Dremel to open it up like the Devilbiss design and see if that will improve the quality of output.

This looks like the worst fake I've seen so far. There are some fakes that look nearly identical. They even have both sides of the handle stamped with devilbiss like the original.

I just got me a fake GTI PRO LITE in this week and sprays better than my Harbour Professional and Spectrum HTE, i cant agree with you on this one.

What name is one the stamping of the gun!?

Most fake reviewers I see almost always use the worst chinese copy. They are not all the same, some are equally good in almist all respects. And some are...crap.

Very good video, prevent us to waste money, on fake spray guns.

Sorry bro.. you can't do a spray gun review with out spraying the guns. What it looks like dont matter.. how it sprays is what matters.. epic fail my guy

What’s your budget? Too cheap and you won’t get good materials or a good spraygun for that matter. Their is good paintguns for around 100 bucks or so if you wanna get started in painting. I would say go for a harbor freight spraygun, Spectrum hte

Well if you’re looking for a good place to start that you can basically use one gun for everything , try one of the devilbiss finish line kit , typically comes with 3 tips and a spraygun for about 150 -200 that’ll be more than enough to do everything you seek to do. I think the model is flg4 finishline by devilbiss not sure for the item number tho

1) You went into it with bias to begin with. 2) You didn't show us spray comparisons 3) Most of us here using $10 purple guns from HF for a quick project here and there. If we're looking at this gun we're looking to make a slight step up, to maybe $50-150, the pro guns are $300-400 which is too much for casual use. What I wanted to see was a comparison to see if the clone shoots better than the $10 gun, by how much, and compared to the original, is it half as good at half the price?

They still spray like the real thing,buy the 500 dollar one or the 80 dollar gun.Same difference in spraying for the diyrs.

Is there a way I can contact you need help so found one use for $150 and it’s real he said he paid 650 for it can I send you pictures as I don’t know if it is or not and if it is that’s a steal I check the real is like $600 new but he has extra’s

Just here to let you in on a secret, that mangled box is definitely not courtesy of any manufacturer, even if it came all the way from China. Calm your tits and clamp down on the superiority complex. You can thank the local delivery for that or any of the other people involved in shipping and handling such a parcel, ordered from half a world away.

To be honest this review means nothing if we can’t see it actually spraying isn’t that the point of reviewing it, very disappointed

I don't like to see China copy other countries products but it is a fact of life that they do. If you are going to compare a fake to an original you have to also compare the price. In this case the original is about eight times the price of the fake. Quality control is always going to be a problem with the fakes, as in the case with your air cap, but plenty of people have bought the same gun with no air cap problems. There are plenty of professional spray painters using the fakes and getting good results but I don't think that is who they are marketed at, they are more directed to the weekend warriors that may only use it a few times per year and can't justify the cost of a genuine gun. The box says high quality and if you compare that gun to some coming out of China it is a true statement, it is not as good as the genuine gun but for the price it is not rubbish.
