I noticed you sectioned the hull/cabin into five compartments... are they water tight (or water tight-ish) in case of accident? I want to build a boat for doing the Great Loop and trips to Bahamas, and possibly even cross the Atlantic and spend a year or two going around/through Europe, and had been thinking about watertight compartments as there may be someone there if there is an emergency, but there may not be and I might need the wreck to float for a few hours until someone responds to radio/phone calls.... you can build in flotation, but honestly a giant air bubble displaces more water than a little foam..... I know a lot of people would start a response with a phrase similar to “a good sailor...” well, I’m a land lubber wanting to build a boat and use it as part of my post retirement bucket list, not a good sailor, I know it, so putting the most amount of safety apparatus and stopgaps into place at the start and throughout is the best way to make sure I don’t die during this bucket list item attempt.... Thanks for your response.
