The black plastic shell was for safety requirement. Follow the requirement you have to keep your PCB a distance from the metal enclosure. If you have a insulation sheet kind like Enecsys used you can keep the distance very close. Which makes the inverter compact. Otherwise it will be like a big box with lots of space inside and you won't figure out why either.

I just got an enphase M190 micro inverter. The whole thing is encased in a block of rubber. Good luck repairing it.

Some potting can be got off with a heat gun/hairdryer

Do you know how to test these with a back probe type meter? I have tested all my panels and they have good output but at then end of the line we are not getting the power we should from a 2000w system.

..Powerlined internet is more suitable than wireless internet for future dev on micro inverters.. for monitoring purposes...just needed to add a networked Powerlined near the router..hopefully the inverter has their own Mac address to avoid conflict with other grid inverters..

I bought like these secondhand hope they work fine. They have black;yellow;green output wires. Green for earth; black for live and yellow neutral? Can you please help me? Thks.

Looks like the bluetooth just has a smd antenna on the module. How is it going to get out of the aluminum casing?

there's a little slit in the case under that white plastic round thing.

Hi Mux, die plastic covers zijn om de clearance rating te halen. (als in: creepage, clearance)

Hey bud I hope this makes it to you, but I just want to clarify something you said in the video. Although you said the buzzing noise means they are bad or failing? The reason why I am asking is because, I bought 8 of these and the seller swore to me that it just meant they are working correctly. I now have one that won't show up on my network and my power bill skyrocketed.

IS it possible to ran this inverter without the grid

+Anton Boonstra de Little Box Challenge was al in 2014 aangekondigd, en de bedoeling was dat het al in augustus 2015 afgemaakt werd. Ik heb het op de voet gevolgd, maar dit is niet iets waar ik aan mee kon doen; dat ligt boven m'n capaciteiten :)

Enphase put electrolytic capacitors... It has thin film capacitors... a bit better.
